Do you keep running your tongue over your teeth Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Friday 11/8 1962Aug 05, 2017 11:26 am Had to pop down to the house today to try and sort out the NBN, they came to install it yesterday but it wasn't activating for some reason ;-; Anyways, while I was there ....lookie...the house is being cleaned!! Floor looks so different without an inch of dirt on it. Only got this one pic, as they were still inside doing the cleaning and I didn't want to make a mess XD (this is the view from the garage internal door) XD Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is the NBN box... so the issue is that the ethernet thing wasn't properly in place, so had to pull it out and put it back in.. thankfully all working now (so glad I didnt have to book another technician appointment). Been a crazy two days.. been to the house twice and going down again tomorrow to do landscape measuring and such. Got a quote for my front fencing panels, only $279!! So very happy with that. Paving is about $48mtr for a grey limestone, not sure about paving.. I have no idea what I want.. Hoping to sneak in tomorrow and see the house now its been cleaned Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Friday 11/8 1966Aug 05, 2017 5:59 pm Your thoughts on my paving plans... This is the kind of paving we are going for, long steps down the slope (probably about 3 of them, approx 1m long.. and getting progressively smaller, starting at 1.5m wide, then 1.2m, then 1m at the gate. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So this is my front, its about 3.5m from the footpath to the front of the porch (We will also be paving the front porch area) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So the front porch is 1.5m wide between the two pillars, while the front gate is 1m wide. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So these are the blocks my dad wants to put for each step, so youll see these on each step, and then the pavers will lay flat on these.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ These are the grey limestone paver 800x400x30.. we will be having bullnose along the edges. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ What do you think? Will the colour match the house? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Friday 11/8 1967Aug 05, 2017 7:20 pm What colour did you end up deciding on for the panels? Apologies if I've missed it. I think the pavers will go with the house but not convinced on matching with the fence, even though the fence matches the house. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Friday 11/8 1969Aug 05, 2017 7:46 pm I like those panels. Not 100% sure on the charcoal retaining blocks going with the fence. Although I think your driveway is charcoal so it might come together. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Friday 11/8 1973Aug 06, 2017 9:26 am Thanks MS D Off to the house again today!!! Taking my dad and all my uncles down, they are going to be measuring up and planning the landscaping.. I'm hoping to sneak in and take pictures of the CLEAN house DD I think I'm finally sold on the paving plan, just need to pick the right colour pavers. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Friday 11/8 1974Aug 06, 2017 9:33 am I love that look too!!! Hopefully you get in sweets Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Friday 11/8 1975Aug 06, 2017 11:25 am love that paving style! I think you should stick with the lighter ones. DD Also happy that all the black tape has come off the windows, looks much better Like the driveway when its wet, I hope it looks this colour once it is sealed. Don't mind the wardrobes, not what I expected but they look alright and they glide really well on the tracks. There seems to be a water leak on the porch roof ;-; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The eaves were repainting last week, and since then this mark has appeared. I sent the builder the pictures, but he was already aware of the issue and has the plumbers coming out on Tuesday to try and find/fix the issue, possibly something with the flashing. Builder also gave me a call to confirm, and to ask if we put the garage door down (we did because my uncle was tall enough to reach the manual button XD). He also said he was looking into the liqudated damages and would get back to me this week... Absolutely massive weekend, and not looking like stopping anytime soon. Next week is going to be even bigger!! Achieved a lot though, - Bins arrived - Back fence installed (but have to get a post fixed) - NBN installed - House numbers put on - House cleaned - Electricity connected - Meter readings taken - Cat netting arrived (to be installed next weekend) - Rabbit castle picked up - Quote for fencing done - Measuring for landscaping done, plan sorted for pavers (just have to find the right ones now) Just a few more things to be fixed at the house this week, the water leak, missing brick, appliances installed, a few touch ups.. and MOVE IN D I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15387 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this?
