Browse Forums Building A New House Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After 😀 2681Nov 14, 2017 8:45 pm Our estate is small and new so no sales outside of the displays yet. A few blocks have sold and a few rentals come have come up, I'm quick to check those out. The blocks only last about 5 seconds though, blink and you miss them. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After 😀 2682Nov 15, 2017 5:23 am Actually the was one sale I forgot about, a small 3 bed on a smaller lot than ours. Definitely keep my eyes on the market. Hubby says I can start planning the next one but that doesn't mean I get to build it! https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After 😀 2684Nov 15, 2017 10:56 am Yes, all the time! Even rentals lol Coral Homes Avoca 25 in Gainsborough Greens Gold Coast Viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81406[/quote] Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2685Nov 15, 2017 7:08 pm Hehe, I follow mine. Based on rentals and sales in the estate for 3 bdr, 2 bath, 1 car, I estimate.. rent I could get $330-380, sale would be around $420k and if I just had the block I could get around $200k!! Gone up a lot. D I love seeing how other people have done their houses inside. Massive storm tonight!!!! Here comes the rain. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2686Nov 16, 2017 9:19 am Finally finished off my blog XD I talks so much here, that's it mostly just photos.. but its fun to look back through. Going to dig out the contract today and figure out if I should have had a 90 day inspection, and if so follow up my builder. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2688Nov 16, 2017 1:24 pm I say study.. but its definitely study/cat room D I do have 90 day inspection, so have shot the builder an email to find out how/when that will happen and also ask about the post handover issues that haven't been rectified. Friend came over to install the shower door today, unfortunately glass was cut wrong again So will have to wait a bit longer.. but in exciting news my front fence is going in!! Photos to follow. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2689Nov 16, 2017 1:33 pm Your cat room come study looks great! I can't wait to get new furniture for mine. But that will have to wait a while . The kids computer is still set up on a toddler table from when they were much smaller . They mainly use ipad's and laptops on the couch now anyway. I'd like to replace mine and theirs so they match and deck out the walls with the wall hung boxes from ikea to hide all my crap. I can't wait to see the fence! Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2690Nov 16, 2017 2:49 pm Yay!! My front fence is finally finished DD Really finishes off the front of the house (which is now DONE.. at least till I can afford to replace the paving.. so a few years? XD). The front fence is grey pebble rendered brick pillars, with retaining across the front and the infills and side gate are aluminum slat fencing powder coats in Western Red Cedar colour. My friend did a great job putting it up, looks so good. (a small part of me is kind of glad my dad didn't do it XD).. such a relief that its done and looks good, has been worrying me that they might make a mistake putting it in and wreck my rendered pillars. Sorry grass needs mowing again XD its slowly getting greener!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Can see here how the fence and gate match. Though gate looks a little darker because of the gunmetal surrounds. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Finished front of house!! What do you all think? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ OMG the streetlight XD Looks so finished off, and hopefully will provide those plants with some shade and a wind break. Screen door for the front to come soon, have decided to go black, hope that's a good idea. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2692Nov 16, 2017 3:11 pm Thanks I love it. Looks great, won't fade like timber and no maintenance. $380 for the infills (materials only), my friend installed for free. Such a shame about the shower screen, would have loved for that to have been finished too.. but anyways, soon enough. Hehe, I know what you mean about wanting to update stuff. I also want to update heaps!! I hate the printer.. XD My parents have mine, they had a new one in the box so I took that one, but I need a black one to match (first world problems!). I do love the furniture though, I went a little darker in the study, rather than the light colour I have through the rest of the house. Just need help to hang all my pictures in there.
