One of the most awaited move-in on Homeone Everything looks very nice.. good interior selections... I might steal your front pillar color (might repaint mine in 6 months time) NBN port is usually on the garage unless we wanted it somewhere else The cracks on the garage floor are normal (I just saw one photo and the crack looks similar to one in my garage).. wish you the very best with settling in.. hope your fur babies love the new place and the freedom Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Move in :DD 2122Aug 14, 2017 10:43 am Looking lovely already Dawn. I thought Pandora might be queen of your castle, hehehe! Three stools at your kitchen bench looks perfect, and I look forward to many more pics as you continue to settle in. Well done sweetie! ❤️ - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Move in :DD 2123Aug 14, 2017 12:37 pm Thanks all. My kitty knocked the drain cap off overnight, and this is what I found... this one is the en suite.. that is mortar or concrete that needs to be removed.. Oo; builder is suppose to be coming on Wednesday for some other issues..so will show him this. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Move in :DD 2127Aug 14, 2017 6:49 pm Its just a shame I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark, as dark is when my anxiety is worse.. I need some time to enjoy the house in the light to feel more comfortable. Cassie is still hiding.. she makes me feel so guilty ;-; I know it will get better, but this is when I most regret living alone. I'm in awe of what you have achieved on your own! You are incredibly strong! I'm sure you and Cassie will both be settled in before you know it. Keep trying to think positive, I know it's not that simple, I suffer some mild anxiety at times and my daughter is much worse. For her we do an online program called Brave, for anyone out there with anxious kids we have found it very successful. I think the kink in the drains is pretty normal, ours certainly do, but I'm not sure what the standards say about the amount, I imagine as long a certain fall is maintained it is probably ok. I think the grout should probably be cleaned out. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Move in :DD 2131Aug 15, 2017 6:33 pm Thanks all for your kind thoughts and words. Its been a difficult adjustment period.. and will continue to be so for a while, but I am trying to focus on the positive.. like OMG I OWN A HOUSE. And ducted heating is AMAZING. D Cass is exploring more and more... very slowly. I'm WFH tomorrow, so hopefully will give both kitties some time with me in the house. On the house front, stuff is actually happening. Builder's excavator person came today and levelled the front, from the brief glance I got coming in the door tonight it looks better, hoping they got all the concrete out of the yard. Couldn't see much as it was already dark by the time I got home, so will look closer tomorrow.. hoping they didn't damage any render or the driveway getting in here. Plumber is coming by tomorrow apparently to look at ducting the rangehood externally and fixing the gutter leak on the front porch. Will be good once they are both sorted. My dad has ordered pavers and turf, which are being deliver Friday to go in this weekend with any luck.. he might even be paying for the lot D He also came to some agreement with Stratco on the side gate, so they will put that up this week sometime. Shutters will go up on Saturday, can't wait!! I so can't get any sleep. In the middle of the night I woke up to a cat crying, so I'm going 'hush Cass', but she won't stop.. I look over at her and the window.. and there's a giant ginger cat outside the window crying!! So weird. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Move in :DD 2132Aug 16, 2017 9:09 am Working from home today as the builder is sending tradies. Plumber has already been. He's ducted the rangehood externally and replaced the bit of colorbond that fell off the back door.. I asked him to look at the gutter leaking issue out front, he looked, said it was fine.. not sure I believe that, as it wasn't fine last Friday But might have to wait till the 3 monthly inspection to get them to look at that closely. I forgot to ask him to look at the drain ;-; will have to get the builder to look at that. Finally got around to doing some cleaning, though heaps more to go... and I need to go though the giant pile of warranties and such that's hanging around. In annoying news just found out that I can't get Foxtel Go on my Xbox 360 How am I suppose to watch GoT? Dad is gonna put a new post in on the weekend. He just popped past to check it out. I have put up a few things. Neverending list of jobs to be done here. I will be okay.. I have no choice I can't move home again.. so I just need to get use to it. Hard though. I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15284 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this?
