Was sick of my hand towel sitting on the bench and taking up space (Panda checking it out xD). Its suction cupped onto the bench.
Theres so many little things like this I want to do, putting up hooks and such.. Was hoping to finish the lot.. but just takes so much time. I don't know if I'm happy with them.. it doesn't look how I was hoping, but nothing with this house has gone quite right.. I just want it finished now. My uncle and I picked the pattern, my dad wanted to just have them all straight, but looked awful. Not quite the pattern I wanted, but dad refused to cut any tiles, so this was as good as it gets.. Hopefully once they are all finished, cleaned, grass and plants are in it won't look so bad. I think the porch is going to get painted or thinly tiled.. That stupid stormwater pipe took so much time and ruins the blocks a bit.. the builder knew we were going to pave there and was asked to dig it out.. now we know why!! Anyways, I just want paving done, my garage cleaned up and my dad to kind of loose interest in the house. Then I can slowly get the things I want done.. and probably change some things eventually. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2406Sep 16, 2017 7:05 pm Oh I like the hand towel holder. I hate my towel being on the bench but I have no where to put it in this current house (plus it's not mine so I cant really do anything to it). Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After 😀 2407Sep 16, 2017 7:20 pm I like the pattern you have chosen, I wouldn't stress out about it too much, it will look much better when it's all finished and landscaping done. My neighbours have decked steps up to their porch which is tiled. The tiling looks great, it's actually making me rethink decking my porch. I can take a pic tomorrow if you like. I like the idea of the hand towel ring. I was going to put mine on the top rung of my towel ladder but that is a much better option. Do you attach it with suction or screws? Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2408Sep 16, 2017 7:21 pm I love it It makes it so much easier. I have a few more I want to do, bought the hooks just need time to put them up.. So many things to do!! Just need some time and motivation XD I really want to sort my pantry out, but as I don't eat hasn't seemed worth it. Lost 3kg since moving in, not because I eat healthy (I don't!) but because I don't eat at all.. I was so looking forward to my new kitchen and I've barely used it. Got my first water bill and my first electricity bill. Water was $183 for 3 months, so only 1 of those I've been in.. not too bad. Water is so much more expensive when you own!! I use to pay $10 a quarter in my apartment. All the service charges hurt.. but once the landscaping is in I'll use a lot less water. Electricity was $77 for my first month which was pretty good. I haven't been at all frugal with my energy.. so I could cut that down a little. Gosh, I just want everything done!! Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2409Sep 16, 2017 7:24 pm Thanks I'm trying not to worry too much about all the landscaping, I know it will look different when its done, and things can be changed if needed. Oh, I would love to see a photo of their tiling. I always thought I would be tiling my pathway not paving it.. should have got it concreted then tiled.. oh well. Have to remind myself that I'm not paying for this paving.. and if I had paid someone to come do it more how I wanted I would have been up for $5k I reckon. Suction I think it cost me $11 from Aliexpress, came in about a week. It's great because won't leave a mark if I want to take it off again. $69.99 each.. And maybe one of these rugs for the entryway (I'm trying to mirror the round pendant in the rug) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I was originally thinking of a jute rug for the entryway, but now thinking about something in grey or pale blue. I think the pattern turned out great in the end . Also really like the lamp and the idea of a round rug. That's what I was thinking for our entry but started to doubt myself because we have a round mirror so I've decided to wait until we are in to buy something. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2418Sep 16, 2017 11:52 pm I like those lamps, and I like first rug Its a nice pop of colour but its still subtle Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2419Sep 17, 2017 10:12 am I think a round rug would be great!! I haven't decided on my mirror yet, they are so much more expensive then I expected! I really want a round rug to complement my big round pendant XD I'm going shopping today so will see what I find D Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After 😀 2420Sep 17, 2017 10:16 am aloenyx Thanks Melt D Von - This is the towel ring https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Suction ... 0.0.rRxDfC It came exactly as you see it, just had to peel off a bit of plastic and it stuck straight onto the bench.
