What a great space for them and you know they are safe! Have fun shopping tomorrow - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2231Aug 26, 2017 7:28 pm Cat run is..'done', but I'm not happy with it.. needs to be redone somehow.. I am also planning to get some plants and skywalks in there eventually. Unfortunately for everything that gets 'done', theres a massive list of other things to be done.. but its only been two weeks, slowly getting there!! Still need to finish off the front turf, pave the front path.. then I want a doorbell, more plants, screen doors.. hang some artwork.. actually hang a lot of things!! I want to seal the driveway, finish off the front fence.. never ending list, but there's time Moving is just such a big deal and moving into a new house that needs everything done is twice as hard. I was definitely not as prepared as I thought I was. I also just want to actually spend some time enjoying the house and getting to know the area. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2232Aug 26, 2017 8:25 pm It's been two weeks now since I moved into my house, so I thought I'd take the time to share my 'things I love about the house' and 'things I'd change if I could' to hopefully help others making choices.
Things I love about my house:
Things I would change
There is a huge list of little defects I am finding too.. paint is splashed EVERYwhere, on carpet, tiles, window frames.. there's a leak in the laundry, one of the door handles.. the circle has been cut too big and you can see the gap. Heaps more little things like that ;-; Going to have to write a huge list for the 3 month inspection. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2234Aug 27, 2017 9:22 am Wow the house is looking great! You've managed to get so much done in such a short amount of time! Our build thread with Smart Homes for Living in Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86092 Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After 😀 2235Aug 27, 2017 11:20 am Wow! There really is a lot that needs doing after handover. I'm scared! Regarding the doors slamming when front and back doors are open... you can get magnetic door stoppers from Bunnings for about $8. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2237Aug 27, 2017 12:21 pm It's looking so good! You must be so pleased and proud to have such a lovely house to call your home. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2238Aug 27, 2017 7:32 pm I am pretty happy, especially when we are all comfy on the couch at night XD Dad has said he wants to fix up the cat run at some stage (YAY!). Next week will be IKEA (I hope!) and possibly my dad will start the paving.. and hopefully last of the front turf will go in. Picked up a few things today, some placemats, a toothbrush holder and more food containers.. I found some cushions I loved, but they were $60 each!! Also found artwork I love, but it was $400... so might have to wait a bit longer. Once I check out IKEA I might be able to commit.. I just think everything is SO expensive Anyone have any cheap online homeware stores they like? Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Custom Build - Ever After :) 2239Aug 27, 2017 7:52 pm Loving the landscaping and the grass will really start to take off in the the next few weeks as spring approaches! What type of grass is it? Over all its looking really really good! The extremely long wait was well worth it in the end! I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15284 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this? I am in SA 8 17063 Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built. Also have a… 3 11648 |
