Forum Building A New House Re: New Build - Ausbuild Altitude Estate - Finlay 36 8Sep 11, 2018 9:28 pm Looking good Sandracma I see you had the pool shell installed first. We were lucky and ours was just outside the 2 metres from outer most projection so we didn't need the cover, only a temp fence. However the hire rate is $650 for 6 months and then $100 per month. I suspect the cover might have been cheaper! Your plan is reversed just like ours. Stacker doors look great. Unfortunately our budget wouldn't stretch so we have a pillar in between our doors. Time wise you are at the same point as we were. But our build slowed down a bit so hopefully you will keep powering on. Watching the colours come together is the exciting and nerve wracking bit! Re: New Build - Ausbuild Altitude Estate - Finlay 36 10Sep 11, 2018 11:02 pm You are lucky with the pool cover. Our contract date is 11 January 2018 (9 months from start). All the SS has said is "should be by Christmas". We only have the final payment to make so hopefully it will be earlier than December. Re: New Build - Ausbuild Altitude Estate - Finlay 36 11Sep 12, 2018 2:17 pm Looks good! First time I've seen a fiberglass pool pre construction , our whole estate is concrete ones and our contract specifically says we can only do fibreglass pool after construction. Re: New Build - Ausbuild Altitude Estate - Finlay 36 16Sep 15, 2018 9:58 pm ![]() What's your experiences been like with all the consultants and ausbuild? Who was your sales person? We've had a pretty good experience so far. We have Scott and he's been great and super patient throughout my many tweaks and changes. We probably could have been building 2 months ago in hindsight if we hadn't gone back and forth so much. We were originally going with another builder, who was way more expensive with any addition and also reluctant. So I think it took us longer than it should to realise that they were super relaxed about any changes we wanted to make and wouldn't charge us ridiculous amounts for it. So we pretty much added everything we had been hesitant to do and it took a while to redraft plans etc. But we have done everything we wanted to do with it and are so excited to start now especially after seeing how stunning Tajana's build looks! Paul good luck to you , I would just turn the gas off when others shower hahahah You have 2 more weeks to go don’t you ? I am actually pretty happy , few things along… 66 3416 ![]() Thank you!!!
