Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 21, 2016 11:42 am Hi everyone, I'm new here. We are building a duplex with vogue homes with another couple (in laws) and have our clipsal lighting and electrical appointment tomorrow. We are so stuck with what to do about lights. We only have 8 led downlight included with vogue homes, and 18 oyster lights. My partner works with electricians so he wants to save money by getting them to add downlights after the build, and fans with lights to the bedroom..... he wants to use the downlight in the kitchen and dining area, then just oyster lights throughout the rest of the house. I read on here that another person added one downlight in every room to make it easier to add more later, and oyster lights to just the rooms where we will be putting fan lights. Thoughts? Our appointment is tomorrow and i am so confused about what we should do!! Thanks in advance Re: Clipsal Lighting and Electrical - Advice please!! 2Sep 21, 2016 12:19 pm If it is a single storey build then completing electrical after handover is easy. If there is a second storey then you will need to consider what you want to do now as it is extremely hard to add later.
