Many larger builders tender from the floor up I understand. This will be very difficult if you have no soil report. Builders then often quote on the basis of an M classification, not necessarily what your site classification is. If you are not in Victoria (where the rule is that YOU need to employ the building surveyor since July this year), I still suggest you employ the building surveyor direct... not pay the builder what it cost him.
