Time will go quickly now I'm sure we've been waiting since March for our start date & although it's been forever now we have one doesn't feel as bad Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 at Canungra QLD 223Sep 10, 2017 9:53 am kikihome Its so awful and frustrating, isnt it! Im feeling sorry for myself tonight thinking about how much of my life has been put on hold over the last 2 and a half years, while waiting for this land/house to be done. Im nearly 30, my fiance is nearly 33 and we have had to put getting married and having our first baby on hold for 2 years longer than what we were expecting. Our land was supposed to be ready to build on in October 2015 but nothing went to plan with that and we certainly arent getting any younger We haven't been waiting as long as you have, but it's still been over 15 months since we bought our land. All I wanted was to be in our house by this Christmas. Looks more likely to be march at this rate. We have been putting kids of as well. We have been married 5 years and I'm getting sick of the questions about when we are going to have kids. I would have kids tomorrow, but we really want to have our house built before kids. This whole process is draining, and that doesn't end when we have keys. It's never ending. Apparently still another 3-4 weeks away from starting. Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 at Canungra QLD 232Sep 20, 2017 9:18 am Unfortunately I think all builders have issues and unfortunately what might just pass AS may not meet owners expectations either just have to cross everything and hope for the best I think Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 at Canungra QLD 233Sep 30, 2017 1:16 pm Still no start date from Coral. So utterly disappointed with them. Our land settled just over 6 weeks ago now and pretty sure every other builder in our new estate has at least started, others have frames up or more! Everything our SC promised us was crap. We stressed that we wanted everything ready to go as soon as our land settled and was told soil testing and everything was arranged months ago, turns out they did NOTHING. All while charging us fees for going past our contracted start date. Not sure why we paid for an "express contract." I am so over it all. Other builders submitted plans to council weeks before land settlement so that they could get the builds going ASAP for their customers. Coral didnt do a single thing to speed anything up and are now taking longer than anyone else to get plans approved. I wonder if we will get our start date next week... before my partner and i have to leave to go on a 2 week work trip. Wouldnt be surprised if our build still hasnt started by the time we get back Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 at Canungra QLD 234Oct 01, 2017 8:58 am Oh how disappointing kikihome. I must say we have had a few issues with Coral along the way. We met our lovely SS the other day, Ben, and nearly the first thing he asked us is if we have had issues with our SC....I was like YES!!!!!! We aren't the only ones apparently. I am hoping it is smoother sailing from here. The main issues we've had are like you - Coral taking their time with everything, basically blaming us when issues arose re: our bathroom package (we weren't given a choice of package even though we have the Elegance so we got blamed for that because we apparently 'chose' the modern bathroom package and it was put into our tender and we were told not to worry because we would get to choose what we wanted at selection....BS!) Even up to here - we got told on Sept 14 that our start date was Sept 29 and our Construction Team would be in contact "at least" 1 week prior to start......we got a call from our CT person from Coral the day before start! It is very frustrating First Home Buyer Building our first home in 2017 Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 at Canungra QLD 235Oct 01, 2017 6:26 pm Oh Kiki that's is disappointing how. An they charge you fees for going past start date when it's there fault? Def query it as our start date was back in May and we only started last week. We told them st out we wouldn't be paying fees as none of the delays are our fault. I hope things sort out quickly for you. we were the same all ready before land registered in the hopes the build would start & here we are 6mths later starting try not to stress & get too upset it will all come together eventually and your builds up there are so quick!!!! Our building approval was then issued a week and a half ago and today our bank has issued the authority to commence the build. Now just waiting on our start date from Coral... we are finally getting somewhere, cannot believe it!! We will finally have our first home soon what a stressful experience this has been! Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 at Canungra QLD 239Oct 20, 2017 2:35 pm Annnd we finally have our start date! 3rd of November... O M G! Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 at Canungra QLD 240Oct 20, 2017 3:04 pm Eeeeeee!!! That's super exciting. We are just waiting on the ACC then we will be right behind you!!! Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4335 Hi all. Anyone know when the $11,000 limit was set in legislation for renovations in QLD? Ive been renovating for 5 years now and this was the limit back then. As we know,… 0 4242 |
