Race to the finish Kiki!! Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 384Feb 15, 2018 9:28 am Caydenn We have our PCI date one day before you! Race to the finish Kiki!! We just went out to our house and our main floor tiles still havent arrived and our tiler was just about to lay the wrong coloured kitchen splashback! Beaumont sent out the wrong colour for half of them, so lucky we checked them just before we were about to leave stoopid beaumont! So not sure if that's going to affect our schedule Coral - Marcoola 32 in QLD :O Could you imagine the work needed to fix that screw up!!!! This is why they should let owners on site, honestly 90% of errors get picked up by the owners before it costs Coral a bunch of money I reckon. Coral - Marcoola 32 in QLD Looks amazing! Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 389Feb 15, 2018 11:11 am It looks so damn amazing!! I'm so in love with your (dining?) pennant light, we saw something similar as hanging side table lights and they cast such a lovely arty shadow, we are hoping to get something similar for the bedroom what is your main wall colour? I love it against the white So lucky you spotted the tiling error before it really cost you time. It's kind of annoying having to triple check to see if the things you have chosen have been entered in correctly/sent out. We were about to sign our colour variation yesterday morning, when i decided to just google the upgraded bath spout that we chose... to then see our (lovely) sales woman entered the wrong one in! So glad i picked it up, as we upgraded to a swivel spout, and upgraded the tap ware to suit the square shape. So i would have been so ticked off to spend extra money on a mistake hahaha. and our actual spout worked out a few hundred cheaper I can't wait to see the rest of your house finished, it looks so fantastic already Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 390Feb 15, 2018 1:38 pm Thank you! Yep, you literally have to go over everything numerous times, just to be sure. Its so easy to miss things though, everything starts to look the same when you read over things a million times haha! Im in love with the pendant too! It took me FOREVER to choose one but very happy now its up our paint colour is dulux manorburn i believe, its a soft grey but in person it looks much darker when theres shadows cast on the walls, such a lovely colour Coral - Marcoola 32 in QLD Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 391Feb 15, 2018 1:50 pm Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 393Feb 15, 2018 3:50 pm how great of your tiler to do that We have picked the same tiles for our kitchen splashback, so i'm super excited to see yours, they look perfect Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 394Feb 17, 2018 8:13 am I'm really not liking this whole being locked out of houses I want to see your house. Hurry up and handover so I can come over Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 395Feb 18, 2018 6:01 pm Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 396Feb 18, 2018 9:28 pm Pendants look great Kiki Our 37sq Custom Hamptons Inspired Home: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86931 Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 397Feb 19, 2018 6:46 pm Thanks Danij!! Im going to try to find some smokey bulbs for them so they dont look so transparent though Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 398Feb 20, 2018 7:37 am Starting to get annoyed with the messiness and lack of care taken into our house site. So much filth all over our tiles that you can't even see what colour they are anymore and knicks in laminate on the cabinetry, which better be getting replaced! Because we have so many houses getting done in our estate, the trades have been in and out constantly, starting things and not finishing and just going back and forth from house to house, creating way more traffic through there and making everything dirtier. I hope they get their act together this week because the amount of work completed last week wasnt very impressive, all because some kitchen splashback tiles were wrong it seems like all other work pretty much stopped. The tiles are even more filthy than they were in the below pics now for some reason we now have 3 damaged baths sitting in the middle of the house, dont know where the 3rd one came from, but im sick of looking at them, our 2 damaged ones have been getting moved around the house since day 1, get rid of the bloody things Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 399Feb 20, 2018 9:34 am We haven’t noticed any damage inside ( fingers crossed it stays that way) but I have to agree with you about half done jobs. Few weeks back, we had honestly about 15 people in the house, the next day not a single person. Im just over the mess of our site, our land is pretty much ruined. Going to cost us so much to fix what was once perfectly flat land. The plaster threw the off cuts into our alfresco that isn’t concreted, it rained, the plaster stuck now we have plaster on the dried out ground. There is no care taken whatsoever. Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 QLD 400Feb 20, 2018 9:59 am I know exactly what you mean kiki, our paint is getting scratched and dented all over the house and chips are already starting to appear, not to mention tradies now walking dirt all over the new vinyl floors Don't stress though, PCI is your chance to point out anything and everything and it will have to be fixed. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13717 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1647 Hi all. Anyone know when the $11,000 limit was set in legislation for renovations in QLD? Ive been renovating for 5 years now and this was the limit back then. As we know,… 0 4176 |
