I still limited internet here but will.be checking in to for key handover date https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell We should have keys next week sometime. We are pretty much just waiting for the bank. SS said he can hand the keys over as soon as payment has been made. Most of the touch ups from walk through have been done. Really just needs a good clean! Not long to go now. Starting to organise post handover stuff now. Driveway should be sone in about 3 weeks time. We have decided to go with black aggregate. Patio roofing will go in as soon as we move in. All 92 sqm of it! So much to do and so little energy at the moment lol Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. I've just gone back through your thread and can hardly believe you are only in Week 12!! Amazing! It is all looking terrific. Took a little peek at the Amart Fiji outdoor suite too - lovely! Sounds like it was an absolute bargain too! The timing re work and the move will be a bit of challenge I'm sure but once you're in . . . you're in!! My thread can be found here - I hope! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=89313 Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Thank you I am alternating between being excited and can't be bothered lol. We looked at the front yard this afternoon and it is just a dust bowl the size of a small desert lol. So much work to do! It will all be worth it though I love the fiji outdoor setting too Can't wait to be able to just relax with a book. I have major cabin fever in this house. So hard to find quiet space. That's half a house Love the Fiji outdoor setting, it was in our top 5 What are your plans for the mini desert you have? Turf? I'm such a tight @ss I don't want to part with my money for grass would rather it for pretty things inside my house Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Final walk through done! 746Sep 15, 2017 9:53 pm Not long now! How big will your driveway be? i like the sound of black aggregate.. Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Final walk through done! 747Sep 15, 2017 11:23 pm Wow Tamara! Congratulations!! Can't wait to see some pics of bowling pins being knocked down! Hehe I can feel your 'excitement' vs 'not-bothered'... we are just holding our breaths until the keys are in our hands, the boxes are all unpacked and our broadband connection is active! Alas just a few more steps before any of that happens. Follow our first house build here! -> https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86484 Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Final walk through done! 748Sep 16, 2017 4:22 pm Gee your home is beautiful! And 12 weeks, that's crazy fast. A few more sleeps and you will be busy unpacking and decorating. Enjoy the desert I'm sure it will be beautiful in no time, and I'm with Charlie I wouldn't want to spend all my cash on grass maybe just a few pieces and let it grow itself and seeds. Still a bit of time before the heat. Oh actually are you guys qld! The snow still hasn't melted here 😂😂
Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Final walk through done! 749Sep 18, 2017 6:04 pm Handover in 3 sleeps!! Valuation came in fine, form 21 is through. Just waiting for Coral to now cough up the $$. We were expecting handover on Friday but SS has moved it to Thursday. I am starting to get excited now Last week I really couldn't be bothered moving and wouldn't have minded if they pushed it back a couple of weeks. We started feeling excited after the call from SS this morning. So much to do! Having issues with NBN. They can't find us in their system and are saying that it isn't available to us even though our neighbours have been told it is available and it shows available on the NBN map. Now we have been told that the fastest way to sort it out will be to pay for a phone line (which we weren't going to get) so we are in telstras system and connect to ADSL. Apparently, when they go to connect us to ADSL it will say that NBN is available and we have to go with NBN. I have to say O laughed when hubby told me what we have to do. I mean WTF? lol Anyway, we will move in next Wednesday. The solar system goes in on Thursday (28th). The pool on the 6th October. Patio roofing starts on Thursday also and the decking after that. Driveway goes in around the same time as the pool. It will be all go! I went shopping to buy heaps of "pretty" things for the house. Hubby and I went letter box and clothesline shipping last week. So yeah, that is where we are at Final clean is happening tomorrow Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Final walk through done! 750Sep 18, 2017 6:11 pm Woohoo that's so exciting!!! Congrats Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Final walk through done! 751Sep 18, 2017 6:13 pm BrownDog77 Woohoo that's so exciting!!! Congrats Thank you Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Final walk through done! 752Sep 18, 2017 6:53 pm Very exciting !!!! I'd be lieing if I said I wasn't jealous you're moving in!! I think your slab poured a week or two after ours and you're in 2 weeks before !! What a mammoth job and effort by Coral for you!!! Can't wait to see pics of it all decked out enjoy your moving in, I will start packing this weekend I think. Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Handover 21/09/17 754Sep 18, 2017 10:04 pm We had similar problems fetting nbn. Is yours wireless? Ours showed on the map but veing in a new area they couldnt find us. After many phones calls telling us different things we had to give optus our coordinates for them to contact nbn on our behalf to get our location details. They tried to say we had to sign a 2 yr contract with adsl then figure out if we could get nbn! Took us about 6 weeks to get it all fixed up. Hope you get it sorted quickly! Not sure how we will go without internet if they can't sort it quickly. Not sure I know how to live like that lmao. First world problems... lol Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Handover 21/09/17 758Sep 20, 2017 9:25 am One more sleep to go until we have keys!! That is as long as the $$ is in Corals account today. Went out to the house yesterday and they have dug out some of the ensuite shower. Looks like they are onto it though. Even though we aren't officially moving in until next Wednesday, we will be out there getting bits and pieces done. The guys will be getting the posts ready for the patio and building the letterbox. Also putting up blinds and clothesline. I am going to do some unpacking and am going to paint the media room a dark colour (coral was going to charge too much). We have also been waiting for our new lounge suite to arrive at Harvey Norman and we got a text yesterday to say it is in stock. It is all happening Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Handover 21/09/17 759Sep 20, 2017 9:27 am Re: Modified Coral Cloncurry. Handover 21/09/17 760Sep 20, 2017 9:27 am Oh Tamara, you have so much restraint. I told hubby i don't care if it's in a swag, i am moving in to our house the day we get the keys, lol. Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87724 Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 1290 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 7220 Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
