Hope your tender comes in soon Build thread http://tinyurl.com/llgc7yk Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 44Dec 21, 2016 8:28 am So, the due date for our tender letter was on Monday and we haven't heard anything. Surprise surprise. Communication is so slack and I am so close to canning the whole thing and going to another builder. Our sales guy is on holiday but he offered to check his emails on Monday and forward the tender letter. He must have forgotten. I am waiting for coral head office to open and I will call them and see if they will send it to me directly. Fingers crossed. It is so stressful not knowing what it is all going to cost us. Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 46Dec 21, 2016 3:21 pm Milestone Still no word that sux more time more savings I suppose I was put onto the sales manager and she sent it through rather quickly. she was great to talk to. Tender is around $10,000 over budget. Bang on what I was expecting lol. Now to do another number crunch lol Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 48Dec 27, 2016 3:47 pm Sooo great sales on around the place Bought most of our lighting today. Still have a few bits and pieces to get. I also got some day and night blinds for the kids rooms. I 2100x2100 ones are hard to find. Most are only 1800x2100. I was stoked to find the size I want at spotlight for only $99 each! We have saved heaps already. I might go back and get the rest of our lights later on in the week. Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 49Dec 28, 2016 8:56 am That's such a bargain for blinds!! Blinds can be so expensive, I think it's costing hubby and I $5500 to have blinds installed through the whole house with blinds GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 50Dec 28, 2016 1:17 pm We just took advantage of the spotlight sales also I spent less then I payed using spotlights 40% and 50% off but I also had a extra 20% off scratchy to add to that. . Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 51Jan 05, 2017 1:03 pm A little update (but an exciting one). We had a meeting to go through the tender letter. The changes we made were done on the spot and our contract has now been ordered *happy dance*. I finally feel like we are getting somewhere! Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 53Jan 12, 2017 7:57 pm Heard from Coral today and our contract will be in on the 18th Jan. So close! We are going down to see our sales guy in the weekend about a couple of changes. We are adding our patio roofing afterward and we need to get something added to the trusses to support it. There is nothing behind the facia to screw the bracket thingy's into. Not sure of the correct terminology lol (hubby's department). Also, they are cutting the land close to the house so we want to see if they will cut in a few metres out to give us more room as we are 20-30 metres from the boundary. I will post a pic so you can see what I mean. I don't want a retaining wall 1 metre from the house when we have all that space. I hope I am making sense lol. We have also got quotes for our patio (attached pic). Busy finalising quotes for finance Yay! Its a job we will now have to do when its all finished. Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 56Jan 12, 2017 8:33 pm NicMac03 Yes ask about the cut now, we didnt realise how close ours was being cut compared to the house and we have heaps of room. Its a job we will now have to do when its all finished. Yeah we are wanting the dirt piled up out the back so figured it will be easier and cheaper to do it before the house is there. Otherwise they would have to go around the house to dump it on the other side. I am assuming we can still make changes even though the contract has been ordered. Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 57Jan 12, 2017 8:41 pm Yes i think you can still make changes. Better to check now. They might be able to add it into the contract now before its finished. Otherwise they might do a variation. This was something we didn't even think about and at the back of the house the cut is only about 1 to 2 feet away from the house. Brickies will be squashed when they do that part. Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 58Jan 12, 2017 8:50 pm Hi following your build. We are building the Noosa 29 at Elimbah in qld and our contract is due the same day as yours. We have our appointment to sign it on the Tuesday with our sales consultant. Did it cost much extra in your last build for the timber tile upgrade?? We had quoted the engineered timber floors but we have gone express to contract so havnt done any selections yet. I know they also have a timber look flooring included in our elegance package but not to sure which way we should go with 3 boys the youngest is only 1. Will be interesting to see how our timelines compare. We didn't get timber tiles in our last house. We will get them in this build. We have gone designer with all the display home upgrade packages (it saved us around $10000 compared to the elegance package price). Timber tiles are included but we will have to pay more for the laying (half bond?). We had timber laminate in another house years ago and it scratched so easily. I love that we can still get the timber look as well as hard wearing Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 60Jan 12, 2017 9:01 pm bribiebell Hi following your build. Bribiebell do you have a thread for your build? Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 10973 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4346 |
