Hehe kids are so funny. We don't really have many people come and stay except for my parents. Bedroom 4 is going to be their room, so we are putting a sliding door in there and a little deck/patio. Thay way they have their space and can enjoy the view. We have a lot of kangaroos coming onto our block, so they will enjoy sitting out there watching them. Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 23Oct 31, 2016 5:00 am So, we are playing the waiting game. We are waiting for our plans to come back. Initially, we were told that it would be around a week for them to come back after making a few minor changes but were told last week that they are due back on the 11th November with the base price. It is frustrating not knowing how much it will be costing us. We still want to make a few minor changes again, so that will take us well into the new year now before going to contract. We are starting to get quotes for the patio roof, shed and driveway. It looks like a lot of that will come in over budget. Eek! We might even be able to build the shed before the house. On the upside, the longer we wait, the more money we can save for the extras we want. The sale of our house settles today, so we are a little sad. It was such an awesome house and we had some great times in it. Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 24Oct 31, 2016 6:53 am It's such a long process isn't it we started in March and we still haven't received a start date. ( mind you we didn't go hard till May when we settled on a adjusting our plan to our budget) Milestone coral homes modified stradebroke 32 Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 25Nov 28, 2016 6:58 pm So, things have been happening very slowly! So slow that we started looking for another builder. They seemed to have pulled their finger out now though and are ordering the tender letter Getting excited now! Our house sale went through almost a month ago and we are renting, which I hate. Our rental doesn't even fit all our furniture in and there is hardly any storage. There is stuff everywhere. Can't wait for the new house to be built - storage galore! I am now starting to really narrow down colour choices etc Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 26Nov 28, 2016 8:02 pm Wow that's been a big holdup I wander why.... our process in that area was almost to quick if you could say that it was just held up in head office with variations etc Colour choices are the best bit. I hope it's a quick build for you to get out of the rental. Can't wait to see more acreage builds we had the site scrap on Friday and fenced today Milestone coral homes modified stradebroke 32 Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 27Nov 28, 2016 8:13 pm Milestone Wow that's been a big holdup I wander why.... our process in that area was almost to quick if you could say that it was just held up in head office with variations etc Colour choices are the best bit. Can't wait to see more acreage builds we had the site scrap on Friday and fenced today We have had hold up's getting a base price because it is so heavily modified. We shaved 56sqm off the original plan and the new base price wasn't much lower than the original price. There was a lot of too'ing and frowing. I think we will be over budget, so we will have to take a few things out. How exciting having the site scrape. I miss my stradbroke I can't even think about it without feeling sad. Loved that house. Need to stay focused on the new house! Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 29Nov 28, 2016 8:29 pm Milestone We had the same issue changing the Stradbroke to suit rural and I added so much extras it became hard to price. I am super keen to see how yours turns out Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 30Nov 28, 2016 10:16 pm Same I don't have a display like you to walk through so trying to visualise if rooms are going to work is so hard. If only they did acreage displays.... Milestone coral homes modified stradebroke 32 Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 31Dec 07, 2016 8:27 pm A wee bit of progress today - Our tender letter is due on the 19th December. Our sales guy will be on holiday but he has offered to check his emails and forward it on to us. Yay! Getting closer! Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 32Dec 07, 2016 8:41 pm That's great he's willing to do that, I didn't ask before are you going thought the same sales person as your last build or a different office... have they given any extra for a return customer? We have gone through a different office. I am not even sure whether our last guy is still working for the company. They gave us $1000 off as a returning customer. Last time we built we were told we would get 5% off if we built with them again but no one seemed to know anything about it. Funny that lol. Hubby and I both remember being told. $1000 is better than nothing I guess lol Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 35Dec 07, 2016 8:47 pm NicMac03 Thats great he will forward it on, you dont want to be waiting until next year! Yeah, at least we get to ponder over it during the Xmas break. I was half expecting it to be in after Christmas. I have a feeling (a strong one) it will come in over budget. Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 36Dec 07, 2016 8:53 pm Holy crap 5% would have been awesome isn't that ironic that they don't know perry homes told us something similar so we went back to get a quote on a second build with them older and wiser, we started the ball rolling over a year ago and we are still waiting to hear from them after phone calls drop in so got fed up with them..... must not have needed the business.. really $1000 isn't much considering how much we spend but if you were happy with your first fingers crossed this quote comes back good, maybe you might get more of a discount on your third build lol.... Haha yep. 5% would have been awesome. It is just hitting home how big the house is going to be. I thought the breakfast bar looked rather small in the plan and was feeling disappointed. I measured it and was shocked to see it was almost 3 metres long lmao. The back wall of our kitchen is over 4 metres long - wider than our lounge room! Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 38Dec 07, 2016 9:07 pm I was reading this thinking bloody heck that's huge but it dawned I think ours is the same after walking on the slab today I think we might have gone a bit to big in the kitchen.... ah well I told my husband the kitchen will be to beautiful to wreck with food so we will use the butlers pantry we are living in 6 by 10 metres ATM and it's so small with 3 boys so the butlers pantry is the same as the kitchen I have been using for the last 8 years..... I estimate work on $1050 a metre complete??? That's with upgrades and flooring etc Milestone coral homes modified stradebroke 32 Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 39Dec 07, 2016 9:28 pm Milestone I was reading this thinking bloody heck that's huge but it dawned I think ours is the same after walking on the slab today I think we might have gone a bit to big in the kitchen.... ah well I told my husband the kitchen will be to beautiful to wreck with food so we will use the butlers pantry we are living in 6 by 10 metres ATM and it's so small with 3 boys so the butlers pantry is the same as the kitchen I have been using for the last 8 years..... Mornings are chaos with us and two teenagers in the kitchen. Once you have had plenty of space it is hard to go back. And don't get me started on storage! We don't have enough room for everything, especially our kitchen stuff. We have gone to having a huge walk in pantry to a small 2 door pantry. The linen cupboard is doubling as storage for bowls, oven trays etc and there are 5 boxes of kitchen stuff in the garage. Cannot wait to have more space again! Re: Building modified Coral Cloncurry on acreage, New Beith, 40Dec 07, 2016 9:52 pm Ahh I can't wait my youngest sleeps in the dining kitchen and got so excited tonight saying mum I am going to have walls and a door, and my own wardrobe that you aren't allowed to put food in, he's robe is the pantry at the moment. Milestone coral homes modified stradebroke 32 Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 10971 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4342 |
