Gloss in vivid white or lexicon qrter if you want a little bit of depth. Re: What Dulux colour for ceiling, skirting, etc 4Sep 04, 2016 9:49 am lozza81 We are having tranquil retreat quarter for our walls which is similar to snow season and we are having lexion quarter for skirting etc. Thank you, I wasn't sure if I should just go with white on white or vivid white for cornice and ceiling And snow season for skirting and door frames I guess it would still look good Re: What Dulux colour for ceiling, skirting, etc 6Sep 04, 2016 1:18 pm Ceiling and cornice in vivid white. Gloss in 1/8 snow season. Advise against aqua enamel as its not durable enough and it doesn't last as long. As long as it's done it super enamel it shouldn't yellow. This is hubbies opinion and he's a Painter and decorator. Re: What Dulux colour for ceiling, skirting, etc 7Sep 04, 2016 1:32 pm Craigasaurus Ceiling and cornice in vivid white. And by gloss you mean using a gloss style paint? Sorry if that's confusing Re: What Dulux colour for ceiling, skirting, etc 8Sep 04, 2016 1:39 pm No that's ok. I'm use to talking Paint lingo with hubby. Vivid white flat for ceiling and cornice. Use snow season 1/4 for walls then half the strength (1/8) snow season for architraves and frames. Gloss is the type of paint that is mainly used on arches and frames. Gloss is the same thing as enamel Paint. Hope that explains things better. Any other questions just ask. Thankyou so much Re: What Dulux colour for ceiling, skirting, etc 10Sep 04, 2016 5:22 pm We went with crisp white for ceiling and full lexicon for doors and trim. However we are having dark walls with Iron Age half strength. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: What Dulux colour for ceiling, skirting, etc 11Sep 04, 2016 9:17 pm Craigasaurus Ceiling and cornice in vivid white. Our other option was lexicon and the other lexicon colours seem popular Re: What Dulux colour for ceiling, skirting, etc 12Sep 04, 2016 9:25 pm Yes the Painter will be able to order it. The paint shop will just add less tint to get it to that colour/shade. Going with a dilute strength of the walls means it will all tie in well. Lexicon can look blue so be careful if that's not what you're looking for. Re: What Dulux colour for ceiling, skirting, etc 15Sep 07, 2016 8:34 pm Yes. You usually half the strength of your wall colour for your frames and doors. What type of white are you wanting cool, warm, bright, greyish? Really white or slightly creamy? Re: What Dulux colour for ceiling, skirting, etc 16Sep 08, 2016 4:54 pm Craigasaurus Yes.
