You will be finished way before we haven start! Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 82Sep 23, 2016 3:30 pm I've been thinking what feature to put in our dining...I think that would be perfect, as you can put it under the bulkheads and it will be bringing the alfresco view indoors. But entrance hall is also good, but you've given me a great idea for the dining room. Totally agree with placing the mirror in the the dining area and it reflecting a lot of natural light from the outdoors and making the space look even bigger. OUr Sales consultant says they get more enquiries about it than any of the others now, yet the new World of Henley they are building over my way they decided not to include this floor plan! Which annoys me a lot as I thought I was going to end up with one around the corner from me! I would have been in there every weekend haha Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 86Sep 23, 2016 5:47 pm stayxtrue Mclaren77 stayxtrue We too will be following closely considering our block wont be titling until june next year! Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 87Sep 23, 2016 5:58 pm Hi McLaren77, are you building the Q1 5BDR? so are we!! We've made a few changes so its on its way to being a 7 bedroom, 4 bathroom home. Also extended the back of the house to line with Grand Alfresco. Widened the garage by 1.3m and converted to home office and an extra room behind butlers pantry for a longer laundry. I have 5 boys and my mum to cater for, plus a grandchild on the way! Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 88Sep 23, 2016 8:05 pm spice girl Hi McLaren77, are you building the Q1 5BDR? so are we!! Haha I wish !!! No we are building Palace Q1 with 4 bedrooms. Our family is only a family of four with relatives staying over from time to time. Wow you really do need the space!!! Always loved big families living together! Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 89Sep 23, 2016 8:07 pm Yeah...I've told my boys don't go and leave me all alone in this big house...haha! The house became bigger as time went on as everyone wanted a big room! They think these houses just fall from the sky...lol . my biggest concern is valuation. Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 91Sep 23, 2016 8:26 pm Its 408sqm indoor, 24sqm alfresco, 4sqm porch, total 436sqm which I think equates to 46 or 47 squares. Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 93Sep 26, 2016 10:39 am We got our kitchen change approved and it wasnt all too bad with cost either, around the 4.5k and that is to have the breakfast bar with cupbards and 20mm stone, however I do believe that this would be upgraded to 40mm since we have the style up promotion Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 94Sep 26, 2016 10:41 am That's fantastic. Look forward to seeing the finished product Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 95Sep 26, 2016 10:45 am spice girl That's fantastic. Look forward to seeing the finished product Our store room also got approved! we were only able to extend the garage by 350mm to the side, but extended the back of the garage (to behind the butlers) by 3.2 metres and then putting a 1500mm roller door that was 6.4k which we thought was going to be a lot more than that! So we are quite happy with this! It means that we will end up having a lot more storage! The only issue is that it is on the boundary line so I have no idea if the council will approve it and if it goes to the neighbours to object I have a feeling we wont win Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 96Sep 26, 2016 10:48 am Glad to hear approval came through, and you're happy with costing. The waiting can be the hardest part. What width is your land? Ours is 16m and we extended by 1.3m. Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 97Sep 26, 2016 10:50 am ours is 14m so the most we could extend was the 350mm! I wanted to have a bigger block but it was an extra 30k and then by the time you pay stamp duty its just going to be too much! I guess I should start my own thread Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 98Sep 26, 2016 10:52 am I'm nervous to start my own thread yet as it's all pending on finance approval. Sending positive vibes your way! Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 100Sep 26, 2016 12:33 pm Yep the standard garage length should be fine, but as we are adding the store room I fear that ut will go from 6 metres to 9.2 metres of garage on the boundary line! My neighbours may have something to say about it! Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond. We considered Henley early on but there were two factors that… 1 11466 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 18457 |
