We signed up 2 years ago when they had the promo for double glazing to all windows and sliding doors. Good on you. I was told having the alfresco doors would be costly due to the size. I'd be doing maybe insulated curtains as substitute. I'd be doing maybe insulated curtains as substitute. We managed to get the double glazing on windows promo for $1900 but excludes Alfresco doors. We were quoted $1k per door, ie total $2k. Currently we don't have the Alfresco doors double glazed. Considering upgrading them if we get a credit back on our energy provision ($6k) or if we have it as an option to achieve the 6 star rating. Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 466Apr 05, 2017 2:19 pm Ah thanks spice girl! That's actually a good plan. We are expecting some money back(hopefully all of it) from the energy provision. Ours is 5.5k. Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 468Apr 20, 2017 3:54 pm Wow! your colours go very well together. I always found it hard during the colour selection seeing everything in small size samples didn't really help. Now seeing everything it their actual sizes it looks really great! Well I * a bit lol, my point of view is Henley pay professional interior designers big $$$$ to get the right look so for the bathrooms I used the same colour scheme and materials just changed the handles ( as they aren't sharp for the kids if they take a fall). The band feature tile was the only other change I made. So no real surprises when I saw it coming together. I don't remember if the handles were an upgrade or not. But I love how bright and airy the bathrooms look and feel, hopefully it won't date anytime soon Looking forward to seeing your come together soon! How are you settling in? 3 months down and we're still only half moved in lol... Hi PEARZ, we are settled in we've had carpet a week after moving in. Still need to get blinds, feature lighting and AC sorted . We started our landscaping ( concrete excavation and moved a tones of soil) still got lots to get done but it will all happen in time. My new dining table and bar stools finally came after delays. Henley still needs to come back and fix some minor issues. But all in all going well. How are things with you? Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 473May 18, 2017 11:06 am Hi Guys, Quick question regarding building inspection. We just had our slab and frame inspected and have been given a 24 page defect report. Now, how as a layman will i know that all the defects mentioned have been rectified before they commence the next stage?Should I be booking a re-inspection? Can anyone share their experiences? Thanks, M Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 474May 18, 2017 11:26 am How many defects are in the report and how many are serious ? Are they listed in "critical" order ? Do they suggest ALL must be fixed ? Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 475May 18, 2017 11:45 am There are 16 defects in the report and aren't in any particular order and also no mention of any level of seriousness but they do suggest that all of them must be fixed prior to commencing the next stage. Whatever it is that they recommend. We failed to have them out for most of our construction and we came across lots of issues and now discovered that our front balcony piers are not supported adequately with foundations! So in my experience get them out their to thoroughly go through the build from start to finish. Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond. We considered Henley early on but there were two factors that… 1 12173 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 19018 |
