Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 01, 2016 4:13 pm For those who have added coloured grout, how much should i be expecting beaumont tile to charge me when i finally have the tile appointment? charcoal grout for charcoal tiles in main floors and bathroom floors thanks Re: What has Beaumont charged you for coloured grout?? 4Sep 01, 2016 6:24 pm I found costs for tiling incredibly confusing. There was no clear explanation as to what the costs were other than amounts by room broken down by tile and labour component. I have a couple different coloured grouts on the tiles I have and I only assume it was factored into the laying price where there significant charges for both 600x600 and rectified porcelain - somewhere to the tune of $40/m above that included. Sorry if that doesn't answer your question. Beaumont supply a number of them.and all have different policies. If you go into a Beaumont's they should be able to provide the guidelines for your particular builder. Thanks, we're going to Beaumont on weekend so will be asking for sure Re: What has Beaumont charged you for coloured grout?? 7Sep 01, 2016 8:34 pm I agree with jasonwg. They need to be more transparent with their prices provided to builders or pressurize builders to be upfront of the prices for each tile. We were told at colours the prices vary based on tile we select but found difficult to make a selection without getting the quotes at selection appointment. More transparent pricing may have even helped me pick up more expensive tiles. Re: What has Beaumont charged you for coloured grout?? 8Sep 01, 2016 8:40 pm sunrays I agree with jasonwg. Yeah i have asked previously while I was there and was told we can choose from gold or silver range, and any of those ranges that have a red dot will require extra laying charges. I haven't Sussed out grout prices yet but will Re: What has Beaumont charged you for coloured grout?? 9Sep 01, 2016 10:46 pm Different coloured grout really shouldn't cost that much but who knows with builders and their prices on extras. Rather than saying the grout itself costs $50 more and charge accordingly they will have an upgrade per m2. Makes sense. Grout costs pretty much the same for most standard colours. Unless you go for a specialty grout it really shouldn't cost any more. Re: What has Beaumont charged you for coloured grout?? 13Sep 02, 2016 2:36 pm jvstnholl bank No charge with our builder whose your builder JG King. Compared with other builders we spoke to early on they seem pretty reasonable with upgrades. Surely within a grout range all the colours cost the same. It seems silly that some charge more. Once you know the basics, the rest is easy. Read my post in the thread linked below. viewtopic.php?p=1919271#p1919271 2 19522 Thanks splashers, that makes sense.
