Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 31, 2016 11:33 pm Does anyone have pictures of these colours in their house full strength?? Is limed white or dieskau darker?
HELLLLP! Ive got light tiles so i want warmth in the walls. Greige, but not too cold or not to brown! I need it juuuuust right! Our walls havent got a sealant on them so ive been told its best not to test with sample pots on them... I will buy cardboard, but in the emantime has anyone got these colours, and would you care to share your thoughts on them! Thanks! Re: Limed white, silkwort, dieskau, white duck, ahh 3Sep 01, 2016 12:00 am ZoePerth How about solver southwards or solver kitty grey? Lots of show homes use these colours. We are getting kitty grey I think.... Kitty grey was actually the colour i was planning to use when we built (1 year ago), and the builders painted our doors that in 1/2 strength. But now i don't like it. Kinds has a slight greenish tone. So we never got the walls painted (wanted to save up plus get it cheaper than builders mark up) so now im looking at the above colours and changing the doors to a quarter strength of whatever the walls are. If i go limed white im not sure whether to go half or whole strength either! Maybe i should do 75% lol... Re: Limed white, silkwort, dieskau, white duck, ahh 4Sep 01, 2016 12:09 am I also want to use a colour like Taubmans cape blue as a feature, or some other regal looking blue, lol but not too purple or too bright, so need to consider if the above colours go with that... erghh choosing colours is giving me bad memories of building my house and choosing everything for prestart! never again! lol Re: Limed white, silkwort, dieskau, white cliffs ahh 5Sep 01, 2016 12:47 am Lol. We have wa white for doors and frames which is bright bright pure white so don't need to consider them as they should bounce off any creams in a pure kinda way, if that makes sense. They won't interfere with the wall colour I don't think. Southwards has a beige undertone. Limed white sounds nice but could be a fresh in greeny undertone to that too. Think solver scribble gum is very greeny too. Definitely Italy do the cardboard but you'll need to use white cardboard and not brown Re: Limed white, silkwort, dieskau, white cliffs ahh 8Sep 02, 2016 12:54 am ZoePerth Lol. I think it just must look green because the walls around arent painted. Would save me having to repaint the doors if i went back to the Kitty Grey idea... has anyone used Kitty Grey and gone darker than the 100%? Is Southwards in the same tonal range as Kitty Grey but darker? Anyone got pictures of that in their house? Re: Limed white, silkwort, dieskau, white cliffs ahh 9Sep 02, 2016 12:56 am That looks nice too. Wow it certainly looks different on each wall doesnt it! Think Ill get samples for kitty grey and silkwort and Soutwards. Then to choose my dark blue feature wall! Their sample cards are arranged on a tonal basis so you'll be able to see where kitty grey sits and what is darker than it within the same range Looking for advice on whether this variation in tile colour is acceptable.
