Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 26, 2016 11:49 am Hi, Did you receive an email from builder for extension of contract for rain in this week. I just received an email from builder for extending contract by 3 days due to rain in Sydney from 23 August to 25 August. Yes it was raining heavily on Wednesday 24th August but not on Tuesday and Thursday. I am building in The Ponds in North West Sydney. Thanks..... Re: Was it raining for 3 days this week in Sydney 3Aug 26, 2016 8:13 pm I'm not sure how heavy the rain needs to be to warrant an extension but it did start raining about 3pm Tuesday and stopped about 10am Thursday. I'm in the Ponds too and remember because the rain affected my plans for those days Re: Was it raining for 3 days this week in Sydney 4Aug 26, 2016 9:15 pm You can always check the rainfall on your states Bureau of Meteorology website. Here is the link for NSW Observations The builder can only claim for rain days when the total rain days is more than can reasonably have been expected.
