Very excited to be able to start my own journey on here. This forum has been a great help getting me this far.
Quick background. Other half and I bought a very small home 13 years ago with the aim of it being a stepping stone to a bigger house. Well, life doesn't always go to plan, and a few kiddies later we are very much squashed into a house that is in need of massive repair. So one night I decided to see how much it would cost to just knock the place down and start again. It ended up being a good option for us. We love where we are, close to family and school, and we have a lovely 700m2 block.
We looked at several designs, but I always kept coming back to the Archipelago range. I love that the kids have their own seperate area, but it is still very family friendly.
This is our design. Would love to hear any feed back or ideas
December 2015 - began research on knock down process

The show home for this is just on the other side of Marmion Ave to where we are building in Alkimos Beach. It's a great design. Ours is similar in that it has a separate kids zoned living and bedroom area which will work well when they're older too 😊 Where are you building?

Building in the eastern suburbs. Yeah we are planning on staying in this house for a while, so it's been picked more for teenagers (even though we're not there yet.) The powder room will be like a second bathroom for girls to fight over

Yeh i reckon it's a flexible design so when you do come to move on the home will work for lots of markets which is great. In the meantime you get to enjoy the squabbles but from a distance! If you've had a small space so far you won't know yourselves in the big one! When will you start do you think?
