When I asked for a change, clarendon quoted me 4K to move and recommended not to touch wet areas which costs more.. I am building one in Brisbane with those huge doors to Alfresco .. Who is your tender appointment consultant ? Thanks Wentworth. It was MG. Didn't post the full name as I wasn't sure whether to post or not as per the forum rules Re: Anyone building with wentworth 33 with Clarendon? 86Jul 28, 2017 11:42 pm Agree with the forum. Name shouldnt be stated. Any fault or issue should be Clarendon responsibility and amy incompetent staff is Clarendon failed to provide training. Hope your tender going well. Saved money staying with Traditional fascade, but changed large front window downstairs into 3 narrow windows - think it will look a bit nicer. Had concerns with width of kitchen, family room, as well as width of upstairs master bedroom. Master was long and narrow. Decided to add 80cm to length of house which fixed all these things - about $14000 Re: Anyone building with wentworth 33 with Clarendon? 88Jul 30, 2017 8:54 am Adding width to the master bedroom also added some length to bedroom 3 which Kid 2 will be happy about, as it evens it up with Kid 1s bedroom at the front of the house. We took some of the width from master bedroom and gave it to bedroom 3 to use as a large sliding cupboard wardrobe. Bed 3s small wardrobe was given to bedroom 4 and bedroom 4s wardrobe was turned outwards as a 2nd linen cupboard. We wanted a pretty lux master suite, so removed the nursery, and used the space to put in a bigger ensuite with double vanity, and double shower. Also created a big WIR. Put in the large stacker doors downstairs instead of the smaller sliding door and window. A little concerned this may reduce the light downstairs. If I was doing it again, I'd probable put a small window in to the left of the stacker doors. Had issues with symmetry with the doors, so extended the alfresco to 6m x 4m. Helps balance it with the downstairs hallway. Extended the theatre by reducing the size of downstairs formal lounge. Cavity sliding doors to - theatre, pantry, laundry and garage. Glass sliding door to garage. Planning to put in a pool at a later date, so added a shower to downstairs bathroom. Also means study could be used as a downstairs bedroom for elderly parents in the future. Think that's about it, although sure I've forgotten some. Wentworth certainly is becoming a popular design lately. Great to see! Good luck to everyone, hope this gives people some ideas. Re: Anyone building with wentworth 33 with Clarendon? 89Jul 30, 2017 5:36 pm I picked wentworth 35 here in Brisbane... changed the WIR and Ensuite as per the design... I went with extending the house just near to Kitchen by 1 metre.. Re: Anyone building with wentworth 33 with Clarendon? 91Jul 30, 2017 9:31 pm I am at Capestone. New Carsons release... Yeah that'll be a good idea and we were thinking about it too. But they quoted $1994 for the shower to powder option, which we thought was a good deal with all the tiling and stuff. I would like if it's not taking space from the study and position the shower towards the hallway. But it's too much hassle for them to change the standard layouts. Re: Anyone building with wentworth 33 with Clarendon? 95Aug 11, 2017 4:02 pm The change is easy and doesnt cost anything. I have changed it. I actually swap the kitchen, wip and laundry position to family room. This swap doesn't impact main structure.
