You paid to upgrade to off white and should expect the same finish as the display. I hope Coral can rectify it for you Re: Building a Noosa 29 in north brisbane 202Feb 03, 2017 5:12 pm The front pillars were rendered today Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also the mortar is certainly not natural tone but far from offwhite too. Went back this afternoon to see if the mortar is any lighter and it isn't. Here's a pic, it's like a caramel colour almost. If you had grey or something that colour would stand out a lot but it really blends in nicely with your brick!! I actually like it! Re: Building a Noosa 29 in north brisbane 208Feb 03, 2017 6:05 pm caitnkase Do you guys think it looks off white in my last pic? It's hard to tell. To me it doesn't look off white, it looks more caramel but not sure if it's because it is blending with your bricks. This is my pillar with off white while it was still wet and I think it looks more off white, but it could be because my bricks are darker, if that makes sense? I'll take another photo over the weekend Re: Building a Noosa 29 in north brisbane 212Feb 06, 2017 9:39 am H Family Build caitnkase The front pillars were rendered today Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also the mortar is certainly not natural tone but far from offwhite too. I agree I think it actually looks good but it's not what you were envisioning which is disappointing Re: Building a Noosa 29 in north brisbane 213Feb 10, 2017 6:30 pm Garage door, internal doors, waterproofing, kitchen, bathroom cupboards and wardrobe shelve done Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building a Noosa 29 in north brisbane 214Feb 10, 2017 7:18 pm caitnkase Garage door, internal doors, waterproofing, kitchen, bathroom cupboards and wardrobe shelve done Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Looks great what colour are you having your pillars? Any more news on your bricks/mortar? We are also looking at the Emerald bricks. Partner wants a dark roof but I want a light roof. Now we are second guessing the bricks. And considering dark bricks. Haha Have you got any more pictures of your exterior? Enjoying your thread and looking forward to the rest of your build! Re: Building a Noosa 29 in north brisbane 217Feb 10, 2017 7:36 pm Thanks! Yea we met with the national manager on Tuesday who agreed with us that the mortar has turned out in a tan/caramel colour and they offered to render the front of the house but we really don't like that look so just seeing what we do now to compromise. It doesn't look awful and it does look like that's how it was meant to be but I guess for us, we wanted that white/ strong contrast look. I'll post some more outside pics I think if I had my time again I would do a jasper roof with these bricks but the bricks themselves are lovely Re: Building a Noosa 29 in north brisbane 219Feb 10, 2017 8:08 pm caitnkase Thanks! Feels like it "pops" more with the contrast of colours. I agree with the render. Looks kinda half done when it's only the front. There is a house in our estate that is being built and they rendered the "middle half" of the front in a contrast colour and the portico ( if that makes sense) and it looks great. Hah we were looking at the Jasper roof as well! So hard to tell what it is going to look like with little samples or digital programs where the colours are off.
