We are building on a large 100acre block. We have limited money (max $300,000 all in). I had picked a kit home from PAAL but as we will be getting a builder im wondering if there is a cheaper option? We want an authentic country looking home.

Don't Quote me. But the cheapest way would be to get a builder to build to lock up then organise all the fit out trade yourself.
Then there is no Builders margin on top of it all.
If not maybe look into someone like dixon homes.

Thanks yes we were hoping to do a lot of the fit out ourselves as the builder is a mate and can hopefully let us work as cheap labor. But really I would rather it go up faster than cheaper (within reason obviously) I haven't heard of Dixon homes. I will look them up I should mention we were looking at the Fitzroy from PAAL.
