Building A New House

For those who have built homes with a colorbond roof...
Did you opt for extra insulation under the roof?
 Was it worth it?
If you didn't install extra insulation... are things ok or would you go back and install some?
Thanking you in advance ~

Are you talking about Anticon or ceiling insulation? If you mean Anticon, I wish I'd gotten it. I didn't know about it before it was too late. We just moved in last week and it has been raining non-stop. The noise is tremendous.

I put 75mm foil backed insulation under my colorbond roof. In addition to its insulation and sound deadening properties, it also allows minor leaks or condensation under the roof to run into the gutter.
Sarking is also required in high fire risk areas as it prevents embers getting into the roof space.

Yes, 75mm anticon. Also out additional rock wool blown in insulation into our double cavity walls that didn't need it to get the 6 star rating. Makes a huge difference and glad we did it.
