Re: KDR Metricon Liberty - Hampshire 45 QLD 83Sep 06, 2016 1:01 pm Wow that's amazing, I've never actually seen pics of one being removed from its original footings. That is seriously exciting, once the clean is done things will start moving along. Re: KDR Metricon Liberty - Hampshire 45 QLD 85Sep 06, 2016 1:31 pm Whoa so it's a house removal and taken elsewhere? They don't actually demolish it? I'm totally clueless about this sort of thing. Whoa so it's a house removal and taken elsewhere? They don't actually demolish it? I'm totally clueless about this sort of thing. Yes I hoping to hear something soon too! Depends on the house type. Only old wooden homes built on peers/stumps can be removed if deemed it's worth it. The guys at Mackay and Sons offered to take the house of my hands for free, so they can sell it someone else. So that'd save me a bit on demolition costs. We once thought of purchasing for the purpose of knocking down rebuilding before we managed to purchase an empty block. Yeah, knocking down a house can cost anywhere between $12k - $20k depending on how big the house is. So this should save me a bit. I still had to pay $2k for Abestos removal and probably another $4k for site clear. $6k still better than $12k!! Fingers crossed we'll hear something by Friday. That's quite a bit! Did you decide on what gets chopped from the shopping basket? Probably not that much. I was expecting a total of around $100k. So i'll have to go through and trim out about $40k of upgrades. Shouldn't be too hard, since there was steel frames in there for $28k, definitely cutting that out first thing! Re: KDR Metricon Liberty - Hampshire 45 QLD 99Sep 09, 2016 5:00 pm We have very similar upgrade bills except I allowed for a lot of it in my contract when working with the sales rep (after about 20 back and forths!) Add up very quickly - tiles, carpet, stone, electrical, staircases, cooling/heating are the big ones! We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37142 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 19097 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13444 |
