Upgraded, they are the Impress Push Button. I wish I knew about the Saturn Zen range you're getting, they didn't have it at our show room. Definitely would have went with that, cause some reason I don't like the Saturn OneTouch range.

I eventually forgot about it. Me creeping from outside cause i noticed the lights were left on. Is it quite white in real life or a bit yellow? What is the colour of your kitchen cabinets? Was the site manager at all flexible during the build? Like letting you change things during the building process? Thank you! Can't wait to look through the thread to see what your experience has been like! Re: KDR Metricon Liberty - Hampshire 45 QLD 1034May 03, 2017 1:22 pm kewlaurel dulie Thanks guys! Appreciate the love! so exciting to see your timeline and some photos! Your house is beautiful. I think I have the same site manager as you - Aaron? We start on site next Tuesday, how did you find the building process? And any tips? I will have to go through the whole thread to read your story. Can't wait to look through the thread to see what your experience has been like! Awesome! Yup Aaron was our site manager. I enjoyed the build process, everything went relatively quickly and smooth. Of course there's always gonna be bumps along the way, but you just have to not stress to much over things. Just raise your concerns, and most of the time it'll get resolved. As for the wall colours, everyone sees colours differently so it's hard for me to help you there. The white cabinets are Polar White. As for changes during build, I found him quite reasonable. I did some electrical changes, moved the outdoor tap and a few other minor things that he was ok with. Only major change was the kitchen splash back which was meant to be tiled, but I requested him let me do glass and he allowed it surprisingly. But all in all, he was great. What house are you building and where? KDR Metricon Liberty - Hampshire 45 QLD 1035May 04, 2017 1:01 pm That's great to hear you enjoyed the build process! That is so important, because I have heard building can be quite stressful. I'm looking forward to meeting with Aaron then, and get the process started!
The reason I'm asking about wall colours is because we went with natural white, but chose lexicon half for 2pac kitchen, I'm just worried the contrast will be quite strange. it is now $500 to change any colours through Metricon, but will chat with Aaron to see if he will allow any changes like wall colours. I guess it is a big change if they have already bought the paint. I also forgot a few things with electricals, they are quite minor so hopefully Aaron will be flexible with those changes. I'm building the Metro 31 in QLD. I'm hoping to start a thread here one day, but I will have to find the time to do it! Things can easily get overwhelming if you let things get to you, so my advice is to take a laid back approach with everything and don't let little things stress you out too much. Everything at the time seems like a giant problem to some, but just remember over time you'll look back you won't even know why you were so worried. I always kept that in mind, and it helped. Aaron is great, so maybe tell him about your worries about the wall colour first up. I felt when I raised my splash back issue on the first day of meeting him helped my cause. Nice i love the Metro, such great use of space. Love the one on display at Thronlands, and there's also new one getting build atm up north. (I'm a display home w_hore). And yes please! Share your journey, I'm sure it'll help the next group of Metricon home builders that come through.
