Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 61Jun 22, 2017 11:51 am Yes Pintrest is great for ideas. Yes we are can meet up with our builder onsite whenever we want, he sends us a building update every Friday which we love. And our new house is only 20mins away, so we drive past every week. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 62Jun 23, 2017 1:22 pm Hi Rennie, We are still travelling through Council approvals stage at the moment (read: tree related delays). Contract signing will be soon, and then onward and upward! Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 64Jul 02, 2017 10:00 am Hi guys, A fellow H&Her here. We paid our first $ yesterday for our tender and so far are pretty happy with the process. We are building a Elyse 36 in North Kellyville. It's been a great help so far reading through everyone's posts and seeing your progress. AllyBrian it's been great seeing actual build pictures as so far we have only seen the display homes. Hope everyone is progressing well and look forward to updating you on our journey! Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 65Jul 04, 2017 11:40 am Thank you for sharing the photos AllyBrian! Looks like you guys will be ready to move in soon. We are still waiting for the initial tender to come back and it's taking forever. We are getting a few tenders and so far Hall and Hart is the slowest, I am hoping that this isn't a sign of things to come. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 66Jul 04, 2017 12:23 pm Yes we are getting very excited. We have had a little set back with the stairs being installed but these things are to be expected. Our tender took a week or just over. Might be worth emailing or phoning them. Everytime I have phoned or emailed I've had a response very quickly. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 67Jul 04, 2017 12:35 pm Is anyone else building an Elyse 36 without the rendering? We fell in love with the display home at Kellyville but quickly backtracked once we saw the cost of the render and decided the brick would be just fine! Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 68Jul 04, 2017 12:44 pm Hi Filbert, We are building the Elyse 38 with a brick facade, we are just rendering the porch and a couple of other small parts. We won't go into pricing specifics as we have a semi custom facade anyway so pricing would differ. We think majority brick will still look fine =) Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 69Jul 04, 2017 12:54 pm Hi Seren1ty, Good to know! I fell in love, hard, for the render and am just a little disappointed we won't be getting it. Maybe we can look into having the pillars rendered at a later date. What area are you building? Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 70Jul 05, 2017 9:44 am Hi Filbert, I have just noticed on Hall and Hart's facebook page there is a pic of the Elyse with nil render. Might be worth checking it out. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 71Jul 05, 2017 10:14 am Hi Filbert, We are building in North West Sydney, not far from Castle Hill. Seems as though Hall and Hart's new website has gone live, I think it looks good! It's also got some clever modification ideas shown on the plans pages. Glad to see them going well. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 72Jul 05, 2017 10:36 am Thanks AllyBrian, whilst not as visually appealing as the fully rendered I actually don't mind it I don't think. We have chosen the contemporary facade which includes the balcony which I think might break up the brick a bit. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 73Jul 05, 2017 10:49 am Hi Sern1ty, Good spot on the new website. I'm just having a play now. I love the modification interactivity, great touch. Question for you guys, has anyone chosen the premium inclusions and then the full height tiling to the bathrooms option as part of the bonus package? I've just noticed in the small print that it says that the full height tiling must be chosen from the "H&H Standard tile range", yet paying for the premium inclusions gets you "H&H premium tiles"? Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 74Jul 05, 2017 10:58 am Hi Filbert, Yes, we've done that. The Premium Inclusions is Hall and Hart specific, where as the Standard tile range is related to the range of tiles offered by their supplier (which is really quite good to be honest, from our experience). So no need to worry, you still get the Premium items from Hall and Hart and a great range of tiles for the house. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 75Jul 05, 2017 11:22 am Yes we got them premium package and full tile height. We were also happy with the choice and range if wall and floor tiles. We did add extra $$ for mosaic tiles in all bathrooms. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 76Jul 05, 2017 12:08 pm Hi Seren1ty and AllyBrian, That's good to know. This is all very new to us so I'm taking my time reading through every bit of small print trying not to unduly panic! Positive news on the tile options. Do you remember if there were any 60x60 floor tile options? I really loved the wood flooring in the display home but I think it will be out of our budget. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 77Jul 05, 2017 12:35 pm We also loved the wood flooring in the Sienna display house. I love the tiles we choose, they are a grey/blue wood look tile. I have a pic somewhere, I'll find it. We decided to save on other areas so we could splurge on these tiles. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 79Jul 05, 2017 12:53 pm AllyBrian they are beautiful! We haven't gone *real* crazy elsewhere in the house and have a slush fund for tiles, electrics and kitchen so hopefully there's enough in there to fund my unhealthy obsession with tiles! Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 80Jul 09, 2017 10:38 pm Hi all, Read up the entire thread as we are also looking to get the tender done throufh hall and hart. All the feedback on here is very positive. For those of you who have completed construction, how has your experience been post handover? Any issues etc? Also do you have any tips to share on negotiating prices? At what stage do you suggest we negotiate ? I have a really long hallway which is 1100mm W x 11500mm L I would appreciate if anyone can give suggestions to light it up with Linear LED lights that goes from wall to… 0 8766 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 10791 Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea. Kind Regards 4 3604 |
