Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 101Aug 08, 2017 11:30 pm Thanks Seren1ty and AllyBryian...yeah I have reviewed different builders, the big ones and smaller ones, and it is definitely hard not to explore H&H for their inclusions and flexibility...I am a bit worry about warranty post building as they have not been in market for too long but again, the same issues can happen with any builder really... AllyBrian, your tiles options look great...love the colours! is that an upgrade? or is part of their Standard range included in their package...when did they pour your slab? Thanks again for your feedback Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 102Aug 09, 2017 2:57 am Hey erikaom, Yes the tiles we chose for our wet areas were the standard range however we did add the mosaic feature tiles in all 3 bathrooms which was extra but not too $$$. We splurged with our main floor tiles which should be installed in the next 2-3 weeks. Here's a little run down of our progress: 22.12.16 Slab poured (then Xmas break and the frame guys were off for Jan) 15.02.17 Frame up 29.04.17 Brickwork completed (lots of rain in March) 12.05.17 Roof completed 28.06.17 Electrical and plumbing 10.06.17 Gyprock internal walls completed 24.06.17 Kitchen and vanities installed 13.07.17 Stairs installed 05.08.17 Tiling of wet areas Main things left are painting to be done this week, tiling of main floor, carpet laid, carpentry of robes and pantry, balcony finished and garage door on. Expected handover early Sept. We are doing our own landscape and driveway etc Always happy to answer any questions. Good luck in your journey. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 103Aug 13, 2017 10:40 pm We have just received our tender for the Madison 'Contemporary' facade from Hall and Hart and am currently weighing up the pros and cons against another tender we got from a seperate builder. It's hard as its a new builder and there isn't much information/reviews out there except for this thread. Really want to see more finish product shots. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 106Sep 01, 2017 10:40 pm Wow thank you for the photos! With so little info about H&H, photos from people who are building with them really help. Did you have to upgrade much from the premium inclusions? Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 108Sep 05, 2017 8:27 pm 3668 Wow thank you for the photos! With so little info about H&H, photos from people who are building with them really help. Did you have to upgrade much from the premium inclusions? We chose to upgrade the following; tiles to timber look, floor to ceiling tiles in all bathrooms, added mosiac tiles, wider kitchen island bench to 1.2m, upgraded bedroom doors throughout, added a few windows when changing the layout of the laundry / powder room, added windows upstairs to our retreat, changed tapware to rain shower, altered kitchen sink and tapware, upgraded garage door to timber look and added insulation in garage, stackable doors to alfresco, added gas and water points, full cabinetry in laundry, upgraded to timber stairs and balustrades, upgraded carpet and underlay (standard range was nice though). Thats the bulk of it from memory. We spent about $65k in the upgrades. Very good price we think and really great final products. The biggest thing is Hall and Hart seem to be very flexible and happy to make any changes. We are currently doing it through our builder and they have quoted us $25000 for approximately 150m2 including the ensuite, theatre and scullery. Your tiles look great Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 110Sep 05, 2017 8:53 pm $11,000 not sure how many meters that is though. We did hallway (which is pretty wide), kitchen living and dining. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 112Sep 05, 2017 9:01 pm We did it all through the original tile company so yes that would have been deducted at the time and the 11k was the balance Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 114Sep 05, 2017 9:16 pm Who are you building with and where abouts Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 117Sep 07, 2017 9:46 pm There are actually more then 4 versions (size and configuration differences) of the Elyse, and then there are different facade choices aswell. These will all impact the price. Then there is whether you want the Standard or Premium Inclusions packages, these will change the price again. Do you know what size Elyse you are interested in building? We're building the Elyse 38 with Premium Inclusions, and Classic facade, with some facade modifications. Otherwise, contacting the Hall & Hart office may be the quickest solution as they have the latest price lists on hand and could probably tell you quite quickly. Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 118Sep 18, 2017 8:53 pm We had our PCI today, went great. Handover should be next week depending on gas connection. Anyone else have an update!! Re: Building in Gregory Hills - College Release Hall and Har 119Sep 21, 2017 9:26 pm Wow, handover is so close, congratulations! Great to hear the final inspection went so smoothly. As for us, we've signed contract, and moved out. Existing house is being demolished as we speak, so land should be ready for the builders to start on very soon. Can't wait! I have a really long hallway which is 1100mm W x 11500mm L I would appreciate if anyone can give suggestions to light it up with Linear LED lights that goes from wall to… 0 5625 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 6853 Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea. Kind Regards 4 2005 |
