It has obviously been exposed to the weather. Did this occur before the door was put up or after? Is the door supposed to be painted or varnished? If the latter, what is in the contract about who is supposed to varnish the door? We went through this with our windows and doors which were all timber. Unfortunately, as there was nothing in our contract about sealing or protecting our doors before handover, there wasn't much we could do apart from going about cleaning them with oxalic acid. I have emailed the builder with pics. They installed the door for the sake of locking the house before the patio cover was done and its still not done and raining today again!!!! door been up for about 6weeks plus. You just use a sacrificial second hand or old door temporarily so you can lock the place up then replace it at the end with the good ( expensive ) door. Been there , done that on a few occasions.
