Lol I rang the SC earlier today and was given some excuses about meetings running late etc blah blah blah but great news, I'm first on his list for today! Lol It's 3pm and I've not seen anything come through yet but there's still time right?? Haha When I asked if they were honouring the prices/promos from when we paid our deposit (he was to check with his manager yesterday), he claims he hasn't been able to speak with the manager as they've been playing phone tag. Lol He said not to worry, he will look after us to which I pointed out he probably needs the managers ok on the promos before doing our new estimate as otherwise it will be just wasting his time if it's not got all we want. We shall wait and see! Aww hope you get good news soon loulou Thank you! I've just got off the phone with the SC (he rang me for a change). He is emailing through the estimate and siting and wants it signed and returned tomorrow. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Funny guy! He has told me I can still change things at Studio M, but once I sign the estimate I can't change anything structural. Fingers crossed we get the kiddies to bed on time tonight so we can go through it all. I can see from a very quick look at his estimate he has missed heaps of stuff we wanted. :/ That's good at least he got in contract with u They always say that about changes. You can makes changes but hopefully not at a cost. I'm still making changes and I signed final January Re: Building our Glendale 45 23Jul 19, 2016 7:05 pm LouLouB Emmz70 Other 2 are A/C with Metricon, cheapest options. Prices may have changed slightly because these were last year. Sizz would have the recent pricing Thank you! Who's Sizz? I'm Sizz .. Lol !! Louloub if u are putting 20K for the total upgrades then it's definitely very low ... U should be looking at more but again depends on ur personal selections . Our SC said it would've 15K at selections, we went over 35K and that was being reserved with the upgrades. From my perspective it's around ... When you say house size x 10k, do you mean the final price including upgrades? We've got a lot of upgrades in our estimates from display homes and then $20k on top of this to play with at Studio. Will try to put up a list (soon) of the upgrades etc that we are hoping for. Where in the north are you building Sizz? Erm no, I'm running a budget here and don't want to 'waste' money doing variations all the time lol [/quote] Yes I'm very lucky I dodged bullets with all my changes it's ok for you because your build is close but when you have a year to think no good Re: Building our Glendale 45 27Jul 20, 2016 9:02 pm I would be in so much trouble if I had a year to chop/change things! Lol So last night I stayed up way too late amending our quote and drafting an email. While they decided to honour the pricing/promos from when we paid our deposit, the cheeky buggers jacked up prices of several things in the new estimate. I mentioned this in my email and asked why, got a smart arse response but also a Studio M credit to compensate, so I'm happy with that. Tonight were going through the amended estimate to make sure we're happy with it. I like to have the paperwork accurate and hate that the SC keeps trying to fob me off until 'Studio M'. Lol We are planning to upgrade to double glazing but I was just thinking the butt-jointed window in the front sitting room may not be suitable for double glazing. Does anyone know if this is the case? If it's not, then we may need to consider the window option as per the Tarneit display but this means we have to drive back there ASAP as the photo's we took don't show the internal or external view of the sitting room windows. Don't suppose anyone here has photos they could share? Yes I meant the final price .. I'm building G39 x 10k to get close to around 390k total, we are reviewing certain things to drop it to arnd 380k. So that was my way of pricing based on house size ... I'd say ud be looking at arnd 420k to 430... As ur final price .... Where are you currently around ... We are building out at Romsey (Macedon Ranges), but renting at Beveridge at the moment, so not a million miles away from you. Studio M - 5th July Electrical - 15th July Contract - 15th August To be signed. They will send me the contracts plans by 10th to review and would expect to sign on the 15th. At contract u pay the 5 percent deposit ( or might get 7days not sure) There is a period for subject to finance as well which may vary. I'd suggest ask your CSC for a draft contract as well which gives you a good idea beforehand Glendale 39 build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83907 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
