Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 26, 2015 3:19 pm Hello everyone, is anyone building in Whitegum Ridge (22 - 24 Barry Road - Washpool Road and Wallingat) due to be registered in April 2015? Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 2Feb 27, 2015 12:33 pm Received confirmation from Hills Council the subdivision of White Gum, Kellyville off 22-24 Barry Road (Washpool, Wallingat and Serpentine Road) has been approved. Provided there are no requisitions from the Land and Property Information (LPI) registration shouldn't be too far away. All 27 homes in the subdivision have been approved. Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 3May 12, 2015 12:23 pm Hi, I am building in that estate on Wallingat road. Its May now and I haven't heard any status of where the land is at with LPI and when building can be expected...any news? Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 4May 13, 2015 11:39 am Hi Lancaster 28, I was informed last month by Eden Brae (EB)hey were expecting the land registration by April 30 last month but still no news. The land itself is well into the development stage, the developer still needs to complete some of the roads and lay pipes which shouldn't be too long. I would suggest speaking with both your solicitor/conveyance specialist who will be able to speak with the representative of the developer and EB and obtain an estimated registration date. Let me know how you go. Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 5May 18, 2015 10:28 am I have followed up with my solicitor and they said the developer has advised 'couple of months yet'. Not even sure what that means! I had also contact EB last month and they advised the same thing. I think with the shocking weather around that period it really hampered the progress. Reason for my eagerness for build to commence is because I had sold my previous place of residence early this year and in the interim living with the in-laws!! Just had a baby so its great help but every bit of delay means a bit longer with the in laws! How did your selections with Home Options and Di Lorenzo go? Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 6May 18, 2015 9:08 pm We are in a similar situation my wife and I having sold our home late last year are now living with in-laws so I know the feeling. I will be pressing EB and my solicitor for updates from now on. Home Options Gallery appointments overall were good the kitchen appointment in particular was the most time consuming and the one which was constantly amended because we weren't sure of our choices we spent too much but happy with the outcome. We had a challenging time with the stairs appointment (misquoted prices) but it got resolved in the end. Di Lorenzo was full of choices but expensive to upgrade. We decided to upgrade from tiles to bamboo flooring (although we initially wanted wooded tiles) but overall satisfied with our choices. How were your appointments with both Home Options and Di Lorenzo? Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 7May 19, 2015 10:58 am I had just received confirmation from EB that registration is scheduled for 31 July according to land developers. They advised there are 3 months of administration works before the file is released for construction can commence which would then, as per contract, be a duration of 32 weeks (not including wet weather, public holidays and shut down periods). At this rate my guess is completion will probably only happen May 2016. Our appointments went ok... Di Lorenzo and the Kitchen were out big ticket items. We didn't mind going all out with the kitchen as it was important and would be the most cumbersome to upgrade later. Also the lighting for the downstairs we spent a bit of coin on too. Colour selections, stone bench top selections and tiles were our biggest hurdles! got there at the end and at least I know i'm happy...the more this build is delayed the more my wife gets to second guess the choices!! haha. you're with the in-laws too? mate we are going to get along great. You are in blue gum right? what lot number if you don't mind me asking? Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 8May 19, 2015 2:18 pm It's good to have a date in mind now hopefully they stick to it. yeah mate living with the in-laws is a challenge hopefully this year comes around in a flash. We're lot 12 on Washpool Rd in Blue gum and you guys? Did EB allow you to make any structural changes (assuming you wanted to)? We tried and they gave us the whole spill on house and land package council restrictions blah blah the only thing I managed was the recessed alfresco door. Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 9May 19, 2015 2:29 pm that's interesting..they denied me the recessed alfresco door due to bushfire condition or something to that effect!! No strucutral changes apart from adding a window splash back in the ktichen...however this wasn't major... we did change a bit of the layout internally in the kitchen... Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 10May 21, 2015 9:37 am There some inconsistency with EB there, we wanted the window for a splash back and true to form the answer was no. My wife made contact with EB yesterday and they are holding firm to the registration date of 31 July, all things being equal, they should commence building thereafter. Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 11Jun 09, 2015 7:05 pm Hi, we have bought a block in this development 22/24 Barry road... Ours is on Serpentine (down the back) Does anyone have any updates on registration? Looks like they have around 6 weeks worth of work yet and then all the council paperwork so we are guessing a September/October registration.
Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 12Jun 10, 2015 10:27 pm Hi Taram, it may be the case that lot 11 Serpentine is in the second release. The first release of Blue Gum Estate had 27 Lots and the only lots on Serpentine included in that was lots, 9, 10, 21, 22, 24 which are all approved for subdivision and awaiting registration (hopefully by end of July this year) as per the Hills Council portal. Naturally, this does not mean that the developer isn't going to wait until all the site is ready before registering it together. You may want contact your builder if its a house and land package they will be able to give you the anticipated registration date alternatively contact your solicitor. I hope that helped. Having driven past the location it would appear that things are progressing albeit slower than I'd like. Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 13Jun 13, 2015 10:36 pm Hmmm interesting. We have bought though a real estate and doing a custom build. We have been in contact with our solicitor and WEM. WEM have indicated that they want to have the development completed in 6 weeks time. We have heard they still need to do the sewerage down our end so we are hoping that doesn't take longer than the 6 weeks. Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 14Jun 15, 2015 12:35 am Hi taram ... Hopefully it isn't October/November! Bit worried now... But Lancaster 30 may be right... I was told end of July... Also you are custom building? I didn't realise they just sold land in the development? I thought the whole development was house and land? By the way it's Lancaster 28 ... think my name appears now Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 15Jun 15, 2015 10:24 am I noticed that the location for wallingat road has now changed - on the hills website what was once wallingat now appears to be conjola road? Wallingat then cuts through to washpool (where washpool is parallel with conjola) ...but confused now! Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 16Jun 16, 2015 9:59 pm we have put a deposit on one of the block right down the back facing the bush. We have been told the top half of the development was sold as house and land by Eden Brae. Buying just the land is allowing us to do the custom build with a builder of our choice. The development seems to have had lengthy delays but they have made some good process in the last few weeks. Hopefully registration is not too far off! Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 17Jun 19, 2015 8:11 am Hi Taram, Custom build is great. In respect to the time to registration it's a projection only but given the current progress and assuming your block will register as part of the cohort of House and Land packages it shouldn't be too long now but continue to press your vendor/developer for a certain date. Presanthan, I've notice the change of name but that's normal in the grand scheme of town planning within councils the final project, and in this case name, is always subject to reasonable change. Definitely. I'm just curious how this now reflects on my contact as the exchange process was based on the original name Re: Anyone building in Nth Kellyville Whitegum Ridge Washpoo 20Jun 25, 2015 10:58 pm I'm certain the change of name will not void your contract. The subdivision when registered will make reference to the name change, your solicitor can make requisitions of the vendor if in doubt. The Certificate of Title (CT) when you settle and register the dealing will show the correct details. This is very common with unregistered land. 3 22596 Petercurtis You able to contact the certifier and get a copy of your structural plans, if they are not in your contract. If your home was approved via CDC then they… 1 19187 Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 24720 |
