Hi, we are new to this forum. So let me get started. Haha
We have put a deposit for a block of land in the western suburbs of Melbourne which will hopefully be settled by April 2017. This is our second time building so we are not in a rush and taking our time to build our dream house. The property we have now will be an investment (if our budget allows then we won't need to sell thus hehe fingers crossed).
Now the fun part, we are deciding on which builder to trust and not rip us off of our hard earned money and also to build us our dream house. We have put a deposit on Fairhaven, the Glenaire. We really love fairhaven 's prices and inclusions. We are looking at changing some of the layout though. Our 2nd choice is Boutique homes which has basically the same inclusions as Fairhaven but more expensive as they are considering themselves as 'premier'. The design we are looking at is the Ascot 36 or Airlie 33.
All 3 houses will be around the 350k mark with some of the upgrades we want.
We joined this forum so we can get to a decision on which builder to get.
With Fairhaven our 350 will get us a bigger house with all the upgrades we want, the only thing is they don't have a lot of feedback, which makes us worry. Anyone here that has built with them, please say something, anything..
On the other hand, we have boutique here that has been known to build good quality homes but a bit on the pricier side for a smaller size house.
Hook us up with some advise, will be much appreciated ?
