just wondering
- if there is a formal definition of inclement weather in the QLD HIA contract. Unless I miss out, it seems there is no explanation on this. To me, it opens to any interpretations and can be exploited.
- from what I understand, progress payment is meant to protect both parties, though as a home owner I assume this clause is to make sure that the builders do their job. But, what are the things that can be used to ensure the builders to fix any defects on each stage when we can't hold any progress payments (there's default interest when we do that).
I understand that this is not the place to get legal advice (I'm hiring a lawyer to go through my contract), but I just want to make sure my interpretation make sense. What other people think?
