We've been officially let out of our contract, woohoo!! We have picked up our client file from the liquidators, which is an A4 binder full of stuff. And are just waiting for one more quote from a builder to come back. We should get our report from the assessor about 10 days after he visits the site (Monday 14th Nov) and then we can submit the quotes we've gotten and go from there!! So happy this is almost behind us!! Re: Our Ashford Homes Build - the beginning... 86Nov 29, 2016 8:06 am Not much to report. Assessor went out on the 14th. I had my dad meet him on site so he could point out to the assessor some other issues with regards to the build that weren't in the independent inspector report for the frame, such as the area for the shower bases being too small, front verandah posts too low to the ground, reveals around windows completely warped and few other things. Now we're just waiting to hear back from the insurer to say they've received the report and to submit our quotes. Fingers crossed we don't have to wait too much longer. Two of the builders I have spoken to have said they will still be able to get a roof on by Christmas but we're cutting it close as they shut down on the 16th!! Re: Our Ashford Homes Build - the beginning... 87Nov 29, 2016 8:51 am I hope everything works out in your favour party... Our new builder is Dean Homes. I think they've taking on a few of us Ashford Homes customers. They've been amazing to date. We still haven't signed our contract yet bc we are just finalising a few things but our colour selection is booked in for the 18th Feb. I'm looking forward to doing it again bc I've found that my taste has changed so much from when I did it a 2.5 years ago with Ashford. I'll start a new thread shortly about our new build and post the link here Re: Our Ashford Homes Build - the beginning... 94Feb 03, 2017 12:48 pm Happy to hear that Party... Have you started a new thread yet? Fingers crossed for you that things are progressing quickly for you! Hey Wickie, I didn't know that Watersun went under! I'm so sorry to hear that. It sucks! I haven't started my new thread. I'm hoping to within the next couple of weeks. Our new builder is just waiting on the building permit and then they can start. That should be getting it early next week. Re: Our Ashford Homes Build - the beginning... 97Mar 20, 2017 9:46 am TheGirlie For everyone else, keep phoning the liquidators.
