Metricon Metro 32 KDRB Bayside Melbourne viewtopic.php?f=31&t=84012 Could be a much easier solution and look really effective, maybe a darker grey to pick up the darker shades in those lovely floor tiles.....good luck! Re: Metricon Metro 32 KDRB Bayside Melbourne 466Sep 27, 2017 8:49 pm JLH222 MrsJM It all looks beautiful but such a shame about the stuff up in size. Something tells me this kitchen dude is gonna be looking for a new job! Just keep your eye on the prize. It's just a delay- delay will be worth it to get everything the way you envisioned it. Just thinking about options- I actually love the slightly different tone in the bench top and the polished finish against the concrete look tiles. Would you consider leaving all as it is, and having a feature piece of stone stacked on top of the benchtop and kind of cantilevered to give you the overhang for a breakfast bar? It could be very cool. You could do it in sleek concrete to tie the floor in. On a positive note, I love love your tile choices! Hmmm I like the way you think MrsJM. I'll need to do some google searching for some reference pics. Definitely an interesting concept and worth looking in to thanks! Metricon Metro 32 KDRB Bayside Melbourne viewtopic.php?f=31&t=84012 Here are some inspiration pics. You could do it any orientation- evenly the length of the bench or kind of skewed towards one side. If you skew towards one side and you have the room you could have overhang on two sides almost. Ignore the colours and materials in these pics but they show the nice layering effect of different surfaces and finishes. The good news is, ripping it up and replacing stone and cabinets and tiles will cost them a bomb- so you could pick the fanciest design and put it to them as a fix, and chances are it will be a fraction of the price compared to starting again, and they will go for it lol Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ M Y C U S T O M C O R A L B R O N T E 43 ...............Kitchen! 16 Nov 2016 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79581 Re: Metricon Metro 32 KDRB Bayside Melbourne 468Sep 27, 2017 10:08 pm MrsJM JLH222 MrsJM It all looks beautiful but such a shame about the stuff up in size. It went well. We talked about the extra stone etc. but the replacement stone has already been ordered and he was saying they would want to charge me for extra stone even though it's their stuff up. There's no way I was agreeing to that! So he'll organise for it to be replaced as per plan and have it done asap. Husband wasn't sold on the extra stone anyway so I'm happy to just let SM change it to what we originally asked for. Found an issue with our shower base in the ensuite though. It's not flush and looks like the tilers have built it up on one side. SM wasn't happy and he apologised and said how embarrassed he was with our build. I just want it finished now. Took a few more pics of the tiling. Will it continue along the right hand side there? Metricon Metro 32 KDRB Bayside Melbourne 472Sep 28, 2017 4:25 pm Well that’s great it was resolved quickly. Looking great Is the kitchen splashback tile going to extend onto the sides? I just took a quick snap while the tiler was cutting some tiles, lol. Hopefully I can get in on the weekend to see the finished result Metricon Metro 32 KDRB Bayside Melbourne viewtopic.php?f=31&t=84012 Re: Metricon Metro 32 KDRB Bayside Melbourne 475Oct 01, 2017 9:02 pm Went past again on the weekend and tiling is almost completed. They have started grouting the floor now too. Loving the kitchen splash back tiles. Not sure what they'll do about the ensuite level fiasco...I'll just leave that with the SM for now. Who is the kitchen supplier? I better check mine at my next walk through on Friday. Are you tiles 600x300mm? They look like the same tiles for floor and wall? My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 Melb https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Not sure who the kitchen supplier is. Downstairs tiles are 450 x 900 and upstairs are 300 x 600. They are the same tile, just different sizes. I checked the vent size while I was at the house too and they are 250 x 250. Are the vent grills able to be change to point to a different direction? With the 4 x grills one you can lift them up and rotate them so that they can point if any directions you want? M just got back to me and told me that I will be getting the same ones are you. This is after I ask them to confirm what square vents I’ll be getting. So frustrated with M and their continued lack of attention. Thanks 0 21091 Your best bet might be to go visit the display homes and walk around in them, and take photos. Get a feel for it in person instead of deciding from the floor plan.
