Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 08, 2016 8:14 am I have recently 'moved' into my new home and the builder of the house next door (who was also mine) has their site fence 1m in on my side of the boundary and where the neighbours garage is a scaffold taking up most of the space between our houses. Again all on my land. I understand they don't have much choice re the scaffold but the problem I have is I have 4 weeks, now 2 to ready my home for rent as I live overseas and came back to specifically get it ready for rent. With the scaffold up I cannot even get a wheel barrow past let alone a bobcat to bring in topsoil etc. They initially said it would be down today which I agreed to as had inside work to do too, but now say next week which will leave me just 5 days to landscape. So was wondering if people where in my situation what would you do? Re: Builder using my land to build house next door 2Jul 08, 2016 8:48 am How frustrating! Put up a fence then they have no choice, just reinforce that you have a bobcat coming they will have to move it too bad for them but if you had built to boundary or had gardens there they would not have a choice but make do. I think as they were your builder you've been courteous but when this starts to impact your plans you need to draw the line. Good luck Re: Builder using my land to build house next door 3Jul 08, 2016 11:29 pm Just move the scaf with the bobcat i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 11106 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 15242 Did you know that you can get rugs made from carpet?
