Someone has been there this morning and put this in. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I have no idea what it is or what it's for. It doesn't connect or is long enough to connect to our powerboard or water connection. And it finishes above a bedroom. Guess I found what it is, got the same thing at my place..It is to run the NBN cable from the garage to the telephone pit.. Re: Our New Home in Gippsland - Roof 163Nov 05, 2016 2:22 pm Hi AJB, Where is the whirlybirds on the roof? Re: Our New Home in Gippsland - Roof 164Nov 05, 2016 2:23 pm Thanks Dawn. I was a bit unsure when we chose it as I'm not a fan of green but I love it now. Thanks Reg. Someone else told us its for the solar hot water service. I haven't asked for any NBN cables or data points. Just the usual telephone points. No whirly birds Reg. Something that we overlooked. We are getting a wood heater installed after handover so thought we'd get the person installing the chimney to put in a whirly bird or two then. Um...I don't have solar but have those...I will take a picture and post it.. New regulation is, the builder should make provision for NBN (some builders charge the client for it and some don't)...check you contract/project spec... Re: Our New Home in Gippsland - plumbing rough in 170Nov 08, 2016 5:11 pm Nothing happened on the house yesterday. Today however has been a big day. We discovered windows in and more foilboard up. The plumber had been back too and pipes have been put in for solar hot water. They are being delivered now at 6pm. We didn't expect them for another month as we were told when we did colours there would be a 10 week delay on the bricks. Re: Our New Home in Gippsland - plumbing rough in 171Nov 08, 2016 6:16 pm GREAT... We both are back in sync now... Re: Our New Home in Gippsland - plumbing rough in 172Nov 09, 2016 6:52 am Look at that view from your sliding doors. Looks so peaceful and tranquil!! Bricks getting delivered at 6pm!? And I know what you mean about making selections from tiny samples. As the house has started to come together I've been second guessing my colour choices so bad. Especially in the kitchen. Haha. I wish all builders had a simulated colour program on a computer that you can use when at your selection appointment so that you can physically see a mock up... Would certainly put my mind at ease. Our current fridge which is a year old is about 760mm wide which would leave a large gap. I will have to do some research over the weekend. I don't want to make it too small or it might put off buyers in the future (very distant). We don't need a big fridge. I also want it to look fairly balanced with the pantry on the other side. I do want a large pantry. Hmmmm ...... decisions decisions.
