Our ss is actually alright about it, he says we are okay to go on site just not to bring anyone. I can't wait for lock up as we had a couple of vandal issues in the past so won't be leaving anything open just in case! Charli, we are going to paint the front door white gloss/ prob surfmist gloss as the front pole will be that and garage door so hoping we get to chat to painter before he starts as it was never discussed at selections :/ size I think it was the 1200 but not sure could be 1000 will get the plans out tonight- it's been so long! Hmmmm another one not gettting updates. Doh! I can't believe how quick its happened! Have you got an approximate date? Date re completion? Nothing yet, but they said when they started mid march but of course I am hoping it's sooner! How about you NAUN? Your progress is pretty good too u think we are on par so it's good knowing what's normal Re: First Build Experience -GJ 166Dec 03, 2016 7:13 am That's great! When we had our last sight meeting the SS bought our date forward to end of feb but I'm preparing for April just to be on the safe side. Having said that though I'm going to use the school hols to clean things out and pack up what we don't need. Also need to investigate removalists. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: First Build Experience -GJ 167Dec 03, 2016 9:42 pm needsausername That's great! Having said that though I'm going to use the school hols to clean things out and pack up what we don't need. Also need to investigate removalists. Ooh that's awesome hoping we get moved forward too! Yeah we are thinking we will get removalists this time, after years of renting and hiring a truck to move with a toddler and potentially Bub on the way that's one thing we prob can't do anymore! Just gotta keep saving the money to be able to do it all Re: First Build Experience -GJ 168Dec 03, 2016 9:45 pm Went by this morning and saw plasterer and bricky working away on a Saturday was awesome and some more progress with stacker doors in now Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: First Build Experience -GJ 169Dec 04, 2016 6:12 am Your build is certainly taking off.... would be nice walking through and getting a feel for it Re: First Build Experience -GJ 170Dec 04, 2016 8:23 am Wow, flying along!! When did you start? - otherwise known as Kym - Re: First Build Experience -GJ 175Dec 05, 2016 5:13 pm needsausername Gosh it's all happening! When did you start? Had to go back and check! Admin process between builders, brokers and bank May 2016 Site scrape 11 October 2016 So we are on week 8 of the build process thus far... thinking like that when the contract says 32 weeks we are flying and I hope it keeps up. Mid march our advised completion will make it 19 weeks excluding the Christmas break so that sounds about average from others builds Re: First Build Experience -GJ 176Dec 09, 2016 3:08 pm Enclosed stage done, inspection Monday but went by this arvo to see progress. We have bricks, garage door and kitchen cupboards! Kitchen and family area looks well placed for outdoor living with those corner stackers - going to be great. Re: First Build Experience -GJ 179Dec 12, 2016 8:18 pm Thanks Hazza will be good to enjoy it, have full breezes and see the kids in the backyard with all the open glass Follow my build viewtopic.php?t=83885 Re: First Build Experience -GJ 180Dec 12, 2016 8:20 pm Did our walk through today, we got flat white cupboards instead of gloss so they have to replace them unfortunately but ss is onto it. Tiling will start this week and that's about all they will do before Christmas. Oh and install bench tops once cupboards replaced.
