Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First Build Experience -GJ 221Feb 19, 2017 8:01 am Yeah 17th march is handover so a little less than a month now Packing has begun but I've been feeling pretty crappy so my partners been doing the majority so unpacking might be a little different as I won't know where anything was packed but at least it's getting done! Painting all done, I think everything is except the carpet n yard clean really as we have robes, plumbing , electrical all done. So they have a month to get it all right for handover, here's hoping it's perfect Re: First Build Experience -GJ 222Feb 19, 2017 8:03 am Woohoo!!! Super doper exciting!!! Packing is such a crappy job, I'm dreading for when we need to do it GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: First Build Experience -GJ 224Mar 09, 2017 6:47 pm PCI done! Went okay no major issues we can tell anyway some scuffs on bench, some paint patches to be fixed, tear in fly screen, and chip in vinyl wardrobe door. There was one issue we aren't sure if they will change as SS was adamant they wouldn't - on some of the skirting around the bathroom door there are some paint runs it looks like, the ss says they are sap lines and unavoidable he says if they sand and repaint they will reappear so my partner argued should that timber have been used then if it's inferior and will have these? Is this normal should we accept this? ? Hard fighting a brick wall who's adamant he's right about everything.. But other than that the house looks great def some clean up to occur and not thinking it's gonna be perfect when we move in there's still builders rubble all over the block in the areas they don't landscape but clearly was not there before so hoping they actually tidy up a bit. Will post photos later just waiting on my partner to send them through to me :$ Re: First Build Experience -GJ 225Mar 09, 2017 8:12 pm Yay!!! Our quote was done up like H&L so I don't know the break down of anything GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Hey charli our doors were around 3k we had the prices in the original tender and since then we had to pay an extra $500 to add the extra panel as they didn't open them right up at first. Recessed was another cost will pull out docs and see exact costs Re: First Build Experience -GJ 227Mar 13, 2017 9:00 pm galleriamad buildingonup charlibear Loving the cornerless stacker doors, makes me even more excited for ours Do you know what they cost you?
