Thanks Yes they did, they have to issue you the 'cert of occupancy' before your final bank cheque is paid .so if they didn't they wouldn't of got paid and we wouldn't have got keys Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 290Jun 23, 2017 4:15 pm Hey - Not sure its to late, but if you are signing with PD. Make sure you go through all the numbers in details on the contract and tender appointment. They tend to sneak in few numbers and had made a typo in ours which would have costed us $ 500 ! So please cross check sales quote to tender/contract numbers. If required ask for breakdowns Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 291Jul 05, 2017 11:35 am Hey all! A quick update on our build. We have received the second soil test results. We have also received our property information from council. The next step is now a step called "two week quality process check" where PD's draftee and estimators will take the next 2 weeks to go through our file and make sure everything is OK. Once complete, we will then be transferred to the construction department where they allow a week or so for the construction assistant to book your trades, which will be followed by site scrape! Wohooo!! Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 292Jul 05, 2017 11:39 am Awesome news! We are still waiting for the council to do the planning permits. It's beyond annoying at this stage but nothing we can do. Once it got past the possibility of being in by Christmas I'm not really bothered anymore. I do wish they would hurry up though. I haven't heard of this 2 week quality process check. Surely they should have already checked everything is ok, especially before submitting to council. Sounds like they are just buying time. I have asked out BC twice now what exactly happens once we get all the permits, does that mean we are ready to start and she hasn't answered that question! Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 293Jul 05, 2017 11:52 am Thanks Niki! I know PD have changed their procedures a few times so perhaps we may be on different procedures depending on when we signed up? I think we might have signed up earlier than you , we first started the process with PD May last year with their Seize the Dream Promo.. it was more of a waiting game for us because we had to wait for our block to title. Apparently the two week quality process check is to make sure everything is all good including updating the engineering, drawings etc after the second soil test before they obtain the building permit from council.. It might also be because you're build is a knock down rebuild? I reckon we will be building at the same time. Same here, Christmas is no longer a possibility but hopefully they start soon for both our builds Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 294Jul 05, 2017 11:54 am Sgene85 Thanks Niki! Sadly we are still waiting on developer approval, and I'm still waiting for the BC to get back to me from a call I left yesterday... Hey Niki, haha thats awesome! I haven't been to the Highgrove display in a while. So far we've seen the Vancouver in Werribee, Highgrove and Bendigo. The only one we havent seen is the Traralgon. Hey Hurrow, I heard about the new Armstrong Creek Vancouver. Is that already complete and open to public? We went to the Werribee display last week and the sales lady told me about how the Werribee display will be closing in September and to be replaced by the Armstrong Creek one.. Yep all three of the new display homes at Armstrong are open, they only opened this weekend just gone. You have to go to the ones in the Villawood development, not the Warralilly development.
