Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 27, 2016 2:44 pm I've only been in my new single storey house for a few months and for most of that time I've noticed that the drain in the middle of the ensuite floor often has air blowing up through it. When I first moved in I noticed some water in the drain but haven't seen any water for ages. It is quite breezy standing over the drain and can be quite noisy. Is this normal? The house has a waffle pod slab. The floor drain in the main bathroom is on the same side of the house but doesn't have any breeze blowing up through it. This drain just seems to bring back up all the bubbles from bubble baths or too much hand wash used in the sink. No bubbles come up though the ensuite floor drain. I have no idea if this is normal because it has never happened in any other house I've lived in. Re: Air blowing up through bathroom drain 2Jun 27, 2016 8:47 pm Strange ? I just found out today the certifier has not given the final sign off. 2 4072 Grab a hose, insert it at the top of the inlet/down pipe and turn the water on and see where the water is escaping from. Then you'll know. 3 8458 |
