RegVic-Hotondo Homes custome plan - Home improvements

Here goes my building story..

My block is 720 m2 (north facing) and the house will be approx. 32 squares.

I am planning to build with the local franchise of the Hotondo Homes

Anyone following my thread please feel free to comment on my choices and share your wisdom. Your inputs will be invaluable.

June 2015 - Paid initial deposit for the land
June 2015 - Paid initial deposit for the build and completed soil test
Dec 2015 - Settled land
June 2015 - Jan 2016 - Drew lot of rough plans until I am satisfied on what I want
Feb 2016 - Went back to the builder with the rough plan I liked
Jun 2016 - Finalised plan
June 2016 - Submitted plan to the council and received star rating
2-Aug-16 - Contracts and plans received
4-Aug-16 - Minor issues fixed and contract re-issued
5-Aug-16 - Contract signed and copy provided to Bank
6-Aug-16 - 5% deposit paid
8-Aug-16 - Plan submitted for building permit
23-Aug-16 - Temp fence up
31-Aug-16 - Received building permit
09-Sep-16 - Bank verbal approval
26-Sep-16 - Loan become unconditional (Formal approval letter received)
04-Oct-16 - Site work started
12-Oct-16 - Slab
17-Oct-16 - Frame
24-Oct-16 - Wrapped
25-Oct-16 - Windows
26-Oct-16 - Gutter and fascia
28-Oct-16 - Roof
31-Oct-16 - Plumbing rough in
04-Nov-16 - Electrical rough in
05-Nov-16 - Skylights
07-Nov-16 - heating/cooling rough-in
10-Nov-16 - Insulation
14-Nov-16 - Plaster
21-Nov-16 - Bricks
Dec - slow progress/ Xmas shutdown
11-Jan-17 - Work started again
20-Jan-17 - Kitchen fitout
24-Jan-17 - Painting week
13-Feb-17 - Fitout
02-Mar-17 - Flooring
14-Mar-17 - Site clean
23-Mar-17 - PCI
24-Mar-17 - Handover

24 weeks and 3 days from ground break to handover (including Xmas break and rainy days)

Going to have a projector and will have a step up... 2 rows of seating and the back row on a raised platform

I am inspired by your "Future timber"..most probably will change my "future timber" and entrance door to stained Merabu..Also couldn't decide whether should I change the garage door to stained Merabu or Monument

Me too Von! GJ only offer boral and believe me there was not much to choose from.. I would forgo everything except my battening for these bricks hahaha

The closest I found in Boral in the "Victorian Blue"

The closest my builder offered was the Blue Rio we chose. Not sure how much of an upgrade it is yet as we haven't got our variations back from our selection apt.

We are having a similar portico to you Von also in Merabu so I love how yours is turning out
