Check out the flooring forum to see what I've been up to. My business is really busy at the moment, I'm really struggling with free time. I do aim to get in this week, so if your still needing help let me know! Our vision was dark bricks, monument metal roof and accented white windows and garage. As soon as we saw the surfmist example in the studio we turned it away as it didnt look white at all. But how does that really translate once its out in the real world and not in a studio sample? My understanding from research is that surfmist looks white when on an exterior. But yes, in the studio it does look quite grey. I am now at the point I can pick a surfmist garage door over a white, but it isn't blindingly obvious. The deciding factor for me which I didn't consider before I read it, was you can see your windows from the interior and you may consider what you are painting your internal walls. Obvious to some, but I was concentrating so much on outside that I didn't think about it. That's why we ended up going with white for our frames. If you haven't already, you might like to read some Tash Bell or Katrina Chambers as they both have some nice insights into surfmist. Countrybuilds Yeah we were concerned about how surfmist would look on the inside as well. I think i'm slowly becoming more ok with our decision to go for white vs surfmist. We have selected Surfmist for our interior walls on our new build. Construction starts in a few weeks so I have nothing to show as yet however Clarendon Homes have a display at Warriewood NSW with Surfmist interior and yes, it does look grey inside. So far happy with our choice and look forward to seeing the result! Re: Colour questions? 296Nov 01, 2020 9:12 am Looking for ideas/advice about what interior wall colour I can use to replace Taubmans Vanilla Slices without opening a can of worms with current matching tiling, birch white window frames, external cream trim, etc. want to freshen up but need to move away from this bold cream colour. Any ideas are appreciated. Re: Colour questions? 297Nov 03, 2020 5:37 pm Hi Michelle Just need some guidance around internal wall colours for our new build . Our exterior is a dark theme so I’m aiming to keep the interior light and fresh . Taubmans is the included paint with our builder . We are in the process of finalising our main floor tiles . Both choice are a warm colour- ones a plain beige and the other one is marble effect mix of beige and grey. Our colour consultant suggested Taubmans Ageless for the walls but I feel like it’s going to be too cream and the whole house will end up looking yellow . I’m after a light beige with a mix of either grey or taupe tinge to it . Any suggestions ? The doors a dskirting will be Tahira white . I've tried to find Taubmans Willow Herb on the net for you, a much better colour. But as usual with Taubmans paints...it's hard work! Try and get a sample pot and see what you think of the colour. It's a soft grey cream. See how you go.
