Just wondering if any one can help with this.
We are building in WA northern suburbs, currently in the middle of the build. We have received adjustments for the provisional sums and they look like this.
-STORM WATER DISPOSAL Allowance = $3,500 new adjustment = $4,892.80
-Concrete pump for footings and slab due to access difficulties = $2500 new adjustment = $3,635.66
-EARTHWORKS – SITE RELATED ISSUES = $4500 new adjustment = $4548.78 ( We where expecting to get this back as the site is flat with vegetation and no evidence of any rock been found.
- Extra possible Engineering, there wasn't any allowance and we did not sign for any, new adjustment =$3,500
The issue we have now is we asked for the invoices for these items and the builder refused to provide and response from builder been this ..
Quote:
“The quotes and invoices we receive from our suppliers and trades are confidential and for <name of builder removed > sole purpose and we operate under this confidentiality. All of our suppliers ask that their invoices and quotes not be circulated and we abide by their requests”
What I would like help with is directions with what to do from this point, do we just accept what the builder said and move forward or is there any one i can contact for example “consumer protection”
