Beautiful joins I don't notice any issues with their laying pattern but if you do in person no harm in mentioning and possibly getting a fix Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 223Feb 06, 2017 5:52 pm Had the blinds guy onsite today, but the builder forgot to meet him. Luckily a delivery of additional tiles came in so the driver jumped through the window and opened the garage!! Looks like the stacker stone has been started. I honestly don't believe they will make for the end of Feb... inspection date 27th. There is still so much to do, not even the bloody cladding has been finished, but they have payment!!!!!! front Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ living; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ kitchen; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Main bathroom; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Laundry; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ensuite; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 224Feb 06, 2017 6:28 pm Tiles look great!! You're not even painted internally and the cladding isn't finished, I don't think you'll make the end of this month for PCI Are they doing your driveway too? Do you have liquidator damages in your contract? What colour are your cabinets? Your have a huge bulk head over kitchen cabinets GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 225Feb 06, 2017 6:44 pm Wow there is still quite a bit huh. :/ I have everything crossed ads! Charli our top cupboards will have a large bulkhead like that too I suspect coz we have the 2.7 ceilings - otherwise known as Kym - Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 226Feb 06, 2017 7:04 pm CB - that is standard unless you make the cupboards taller - so then you end up with huge bulkheads if you have a higher ceiling. Mine are small as I had my cupboards extended by about 150mm. This is someone to note when you get your kitchen plans to have them extended up. Only cost me about $250 to have all extended including laundry. I rather pay that and have extra storage than wasted space above my cupboards. You will be surprised how quick they can work, once painting is done - about a week, the rest can be completed in a week. Trust me, I made them do it. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 227Feb 06, 2017 7:04 pm Yeah our contract is till 1st march. 50$ a day if delayed. They are doing everything.. landscaping / drive way. We just had to remove the fence from the quote because our neighbor is overseas and hasn't sorted out this retaining wall! So will have to arrange that after handover now . Yeah our ceilings in kitchen are 3 meters. No point stressing, started selling all our stuff and packing already. It will fall into place even if delayed Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 229Feb 20, 2017 3:51 pm heya - apparently ok.. PCI on monday. I did ask builder for weekly updates/photos... of course, nothing We move this weekend! SO stressful!!!!! Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 231Feb 20, 2017 5:14 pm gummz Soo close. I'd rather be at your stage than where i am (at the very beginning of the process). Hang in there. First night with pizza and beer will be worth it all! Have you got a thread for me to stalk yet?? ?? Looking forward to seeing the photos Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 233Feb 21, 2017 7:01 pm Thank you Inspection pushed out to Thursday... lol! When we where in Bris last, we met a couple building with same builder but they are in admin stage. I got a call from the office manager today asking if she could take them for a walkthrough our place. Thankfully they sent through some photos Seriously don't think they will be ready for another 2 weeks! Let's see how they go. Not best quality, but looks realllly nice! You will be surprised how quick the last things take - I think it was the only time I actually saw them really work hard on my house as I was pushing due to selling my old house. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 239Feb 25, 2017 8:18 pm Thanks we just got to coffs today, we will finish the drive tomorrow. Will swing past on the way, and then be back every day before inspection, hehe! Re: First Build - GJ Gardner - Modified StillWater 240Feb 27, 2017 1:41 pm Your house is looking awesome, I'm really liking the quality and finish of GJ, I can tell they really look after the build and I'm so close to signing up lol. A question to you and the GJ guys, were your quotes similar to the tender? The asking price for a tender request is a hefty $3500 in my area and it would suck if the tender price came back and it was a $50k difference. The reason I ask is they have included all the needed extra site costs which Rawson and Wisdom didn't include in their quotes, and it's still cheaper by at least 20k. And I've specced the GJ house to match Rawson and Wisdom. Thinking it's too good to be true? May I ask why you chose not to use GJ Gardiner? I'm actually meeting with one of the sales guys tomorrow for an appointment. Definitely not signing anything yet… 3 13260 hi guys. Please be nice. First time home builder in Qld.
