Finally! Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 24...Bricks & Plaster 3524Jul 01, 2017 6:21 am Are you going to visit the house this weekend cb? Build thread http://tinyurl.com/llgc7yk Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 24...Bricks & Plaster 3525Jul 01, 2017 7:52 am Thanks everyone!! My sister in law said we had heaps of workers from Wednesday of this week so hopefully that means inside progress too I didn't get my progress report for this week so I'm not sure what was done and what is scheduled for next week, as long as progress is happening I'm happy... I was meant to get my kitchen plans this week too but I didn't Man I had a terrible dream last night that they made a huge mistake and started taking my house apart this building roller coaster is taking its toll I think Miss 5 has soccer today about a 10 min drive from the house so we will go that way home to check out the house. We also have friends that did our drive way coming to look at the drainage issue today - hopefully that keeps our weirdo neighbours happy GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 24...Bricks & Plaster 3527Jul 01, 2017 2:53 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Sorry I didn't put descriptions of what areas they are, But just random shots of the house. Cornice wasn't up I think I left there around 12, a friend that's using our shed to store his stuff said that the plasterer turned up about 1pm and will his afternoon and tomorrow to complete the rest... he didn't go into detail so I'm hoping that means cornice? Our water tank was meant to be delivered this week but it wasn't out there. My parents came out to have a look, they have never shown an interest in the house or the fact we are building but I think they realised when they were out there how much of an emotional investment all of this journey is and they loved it so that was a small feat. They were most impressed by our WIP, they have an old house that has a tiny pantry I love our bricks, the sun was really quite bright and it was really glary so the photos are great quality. I also love our big front door, it's so awesome, can't wait to see it stained. I hope waterproofing starts next week, that would be awesome GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 24...Bricks & Plaster 3528Jul 01, 2017 3:05 pm Wooo!! I know it just sucks that they don't take an interest at all, I thought it may have been jealousy because I grew up in a really poor family but now they've seen it they are amazed and really love it. I hope once your place is built and your in your mum is on board and sees you have something to show for the hard times you've been through bank Looking amazing!! Thanks my love, I've got to catch up on your thread and see what's happening with the tile situation and see those dark bricks of yours shellu Looking great Charlie. I really like the front door. So glad your family is more on board and understanding. Thanks sweets, the front I thought was so tiny the past few times we've been out but when it was open I was like wow ok this door is big and it's gorgeous So glad my parents have come around, I went for a quick visit just before and they were looking at land for sale in the area vonsta76 Wow your house is big! I wanted that one along with the door that has the vertical panels, we have the X24, hubby had his heart set on this door, had to let him have since virtually the rest of the choices are mine must say I do adore the door now! What bricks have you chosen? I love ours, we didn't have much to chose from, they did cost an extra $4k but I feel like it was money well spent. Honestly I don't know I have survived either, I haven't had any other choice but hopefully not for much longer icat2000 Congrats on the progress. The bricks look divine. Thanks, I am so glad they turned out nice, I have been googling them for over a year now but no real example to go on. Jessiej Looks so good! So nice to see progress!!! Thanks babes!!
