Hi Micah, This is again another email to tell you that we are concerned we aren't going to finish by the practical completion date 25th August given to us by you. The 25th August is 51 business days away - to date we do not have bricks up nor do we have plaster up, the rebate for the activity room door still hasn't been fixed - an issue I raised 2 1/2 weeks ago, I did not expect for the rebate to be fixed there and then when I raised it but I did not expect it to take this long. A cavity slider was put in instead of a hinged door from the garage to the house, I have asked for it to be changed to what is on the plan - I expect this is going to cause delays? Can someone please check that council approved plans are being used because obscured glass and a cavity slider door to the garage were in an early set of plans. At this point I have given up all hope that our house will be at practical completion stage by 25th August, which is devastating to us as a family that need our home. Charlibear Does it sound ok? End with a question or something - What needs to be done to ensure that progress starts to happen for us? Man, you are such a strong person. I would go bananas. I would also say how many days it's taken to get to this point, 51 days left to build considering it's taken $&@ Days to get to this point! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85653&p=1642230#p1642230 Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 21... 3316Jun 15, 2017 11:45 am H Family Build charlibear I've sent an email to Micah - trying to take a diplomatic approach first. I'm really a insane mess rocking myself in a corner haha its hard work to stay sane but I'm just trying to visualise the end product. It sucks driving out to see the non existent progress and driving past the new house in our estate that will probably over take us in 2 weeks Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 21... 3318Jun 15, 2017 11:48 am So glad you are sending this email. Maybe request he respond via email on furture stage build schedule. Ask him to layout exactly how he expects he can meet this time frame. You could say.... as per our conversation last week you indicated you will still meet the build time frame, we hold little hope for this considering we have no trades or trades that are only working for 1-2 hours per day. We request in writing a schedule breakdown on what and when to expect each stage of the build to commenece and how long each stage is expected to take. Eg: brick start and completion date..... Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 21... 3319Jun 15, 2017 11:52 am Maybe tell him just becasue his name means "Who is like God" does not mean he is God and he should get his finger out of his arse a-Sap Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17511 thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 10404 Hi, did you get any money from insurance? if you did, does it match what you've already paid the builders? 3 9559 |
