Browse Forums Building A New House Charlibear's Build - Week 17 still no roof 2983May 16, 2017 12:51 pm My kids are up the other end but we do have a bedroom mid house which is for 3yo, but only because we use all rooms. As soon as one of the older boys are out he moves and it will become our study. I'm going with windows and front door with the van. It's the next thing after roof for our builder. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 17 still no roof 2984May 16, 2017 12:54 pm Same here cb. I purposefully picked the avoca because the master is up the back and the other three are all at the front. Here's hoping after the roof they knock this out of the park. Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 17 still no roof 2992May 17, 2017 7:49 am Good to see the brickies have started, they won't be held up by the lack of roof progress so it's moving forward anyway Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 17 still no roof 2993May 17, 2017 11:21 am Just needing to rant for a bit... apparently our house will be at PCI by 25th Aug which is 72 business days away. Our house started 79 business days ago and our roof isn't completed yet, our barge capping isn't completed... and they left 11am yesterday so they didn't even work a full day, they could have finished it otherwise just so so over this build. I want my house already GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 17 still no roof 2994May 17, 2017 11:26 am If it's any comfort, we are at the same stage as you and have PCI scheduled for the same day. Although your guys were off to a slower start, hopefully they pick up the pace and soldier on! We are just having electrical and plumbing rough in done today. I would have lost it a long time ago. There must have been some sort of issue for them to leave so early and so close to done, surely?! If only we knew we wouldn't get so frustrated. Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 17 still no roof 2998May 17, 2017 6:45 pm It is so tough, getting excited about progress and then the next day/week theres nothing. Hopefully they just had a job they had to fix up and they will be back to yours tomorrow! It's making then tired and they need to go home to sleep All the stress can't be any good for you Hoping that the date given for PCI will ensure that they put a bullet up all the tradies backsides and they get your build done in time!!!
