Charlibear's Build -Finally in!

Hi everyone,

I thought I should probably make my own thread instead of hijacking everyone else's (sorry)!

My husband and I didn't intend to buy a block until the end of this year and build and build until 2017, but our dream size block came up in a beautiful location for ridiculously cheap so we put in an offer in Nov 2015 and settled Jan 2016.

It is a 4 acre block that has vegetation protection because all the beautiful native trees we have, I don't really mind them they create wonderful privacy.

We have decided to build with GJ Gardner in Grafton, they have gone above and beyond to accommodate and have paid our initial investment with them.

Our block is a basically a slope but the top where we are building isn't too bad, well a 1m fall but pretty flat compared to the rest of the block.

Hi charlibear, I've seen you in the coral threads
i thought you would be building with coral. I love your selections, especially the splashback. cant wait to see them come alive during construction. What a huge block! Following

Hey Von, I love coral plans and originally approached coral but had a very bad experience with them so I left that dream behind.

Our block is massive, hubby almost pulled out because he freaked out about mowing it
Yay! You've started a thread! Your floorplan is lovely and your colour selection are divine
that niche tile is wowza! I'm glad you backed away from coral too. Can't wait to follow along!

Thanks MrsJM! The ensuite is what I am most excited for! I am sorry to hear that you are still having troubles with Coral and your build!
Not so hard to find the thread..haha..

Nice floor plan, only thing I would suggest is to swap bath and WC in ensuite so the WC will be close to the window..

I love the colour selections almost like mine.

Cheers,

The window in the ensuite is actually a full wall glass panel, we have 100 acres of farming land behind us and a beautiful view I can sit the tub enjoy

Sounds lovely... in that case, I would consider putting an exhaust fan inside the WC...
There is one noted on the plan Reg, it's got an arrow pointing into the WC
