Our block meets the min sq foot requirement for duplex building - however we are short .5m on the block width. I have spoken to the council and they suggest that as long as the plans meet all other criteria - set backs etc that we should submit the plans to a pre-DA meeting. Metricon seem to be the closest to meeting council requirements with their duplex standard design - they are currently reworking a plan to fit to our narrow block and council requirements. I am looking for suggestions on other builders we should consider. Also if anyone in NSW has built a duplex on a narrow block I would appreciate them sharing their experiences.
